Popcorn

Hi all

I am 17 days post op and in the mushy food phase. I was wondering if I can have popcorn? I'm going to call my doc tomorrow but wondered what you all think or have experienced.

  • Asked for popcorn and given a hard boiled egg. Sounds like a childhood day with one of my grandfathers...

  • Okay. That's why I was asking. I'm going to the movies on Sunday but I think I will just take some beef jerky to munch on.

That is a carb and a scratchy high calorie one at that. I say no, protein first. If you need something salty, have a hard boiled egg with done salt.

At 17 days I would say no. I had a few pieces last week when we went to the movies and it was honestly horrible. I won't do it again. My stomach was sick the rest of the day.
