  1. Hey VailGirl, Glad you joined us. Its was great to meet you yesterday and get caught up on your jounrey. We look forward to hearing more. The Labor Day challenge starts with a weigh in tomorrow, just post how much you would like to lose in 4 weeks and how much exercise you want to do in that 4 weeks as well. Than ck in every Monday. It is fun and keeps us all accountable.

Brandy, Sand in your shorts is a drink they make at RR. It is so good, but I can't remember what is in it. We missed you yesterday, I hope everything is okay with the fam in CS. Have fun at the World Series and tell your son's team to kick butt.

  2. Shelbi -- Thanks for the kind words. You are doing great as well.

Mare -- It was great to put a face to a name today, I enjoyed visting with you and Harriett. Hope she signs up and has a safe trip home.

Mini -- We missed you today, but felt your vibes. You were there in our hearts.

Jill -- I like the Mix1 drinks, they come in fruit flavors (berry, blueberry vanilla, tangerine, ect...) I get them at costco by the case and drink one in the morning for Breakfast.< /span>

Ador -- Put me down for 5lbs, my losing has sorta stalled out. Also, I am doing the couch to 5k challenge so put me down for 3 weekly workouts.

  3. Ok awesome! Let do it then. Anyone who wants to participate in the Labor Day Challenge just let me know... also let me know how many pounds you want to lose. :) Let's do weigh ins on Mondays since that is the day Sept 1st falls on. Sound good?

Dee I don't want to steal your thunder but figured I would give you a break from keeping tally this time. Just yell at me if you want to do it! lol. :Banane34:

My goal is to get to TWOTERVILLE! 8.5 pounds to get there, so I will shoot for 10 pounds.

    LABOR DAY CHALLENGERS

    adorKable - Goal 10 lbs

    minidriver - Goal

Put me down for 5lbs. My weightloss has slowed a little and I don't want to be disappointed.:huh2:

  4. So can anyone tell me good bandster adult beverages? I KNOW that there are lots of calories...but I ALSO know that I will want some. I just want the band to stay safe!

Brandy, I just had a margarita. But Mudslides work good, as do Bloody Marys, Screwdrivers, sex on the beach, sand in your shorts, I'm sensing a theme here... I can do just abt anything I try to stay away from carbonated drinks though. Have fun and have a few for me.

By the way where the HELL were you today?? We all missed you..:):Banane34:

  5. Try getting the last 25-30 pounds off...THAT has been torture. Hopefully the fill I just had put in will get the scale moving again!!

Brandy -- I totally agree with you on the last 20 lbs. That has been the hardest ot get rid of. I have been lazy these last 2 weeks though, with vacations and such. No working out and eating out all the time. You look amazing though and need to keep reminding yourself of that. You have come such a long way and you are an inspiration to all of us. Keep your head up and remember we are MILF's and need to be proud.

  6. MC Heather, I like that name I think that should be your new name at leasst until you get new scrubs and post a picture of yourself in the old & new...

Sorry about your sis, I know it was sd b4 but hopefully she'll more up the list fast.

Okay, about the pants...They were the only clean pair of jeans I had that day, I thought they still fit as I had not had them on in a while. I put them on, came out of the trailer and all the guys (we were at a bachelor party) started laughing hysterically. We than went on a ride to the lake and when we got there my hubby sd "I thought you had a watermelon in your pants when you stood up they stuck out so far". Needless to say I had 2 pairs of those pants with me so we burned one pair in the camp fire that night and I kept one to remind me of how I never want to look that way again. (Sorry I know it was a long story)

Mini, We are going to Cancun in October for fall break. That has been my big motovation. Can you find me a deal on airfare? I have the timeshare set up but keep procrastingating on the airfare.

  7. DENISE?!?

    Anyone see her lately???

Brandy, Thanks for missing me...we ended up going to see the in-laws in S.Dakota for a few days and got back late Tues. It was so fun though...went to Sturgis, Mt.Rushmore and a few other places. I have to say when we went to Paris in May I thought the Eiffel Towee was amazing, but seeing Mt.Rushmore blew that away!!! Rach & I even went to Water arobics 2 days.

Ms. Dee, Happy Happy Birthday dear. I am sitting here right now eating a piece of cheesecake just for you (Fresh banana cream pie cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory). I figured that you didn't need those pesky calories. You look wonderful and are doing such a great job.

Mal, It sounds like your sons friend is doing better. I will say a few catch-up prayers for him. And continue to keep you all in my prayers.

Deb -- So glad that Tucker is doing better.

Lap, A grandson, what a surprise. But loved just as much!!!

  8. Hello all,

I'm considering the surgery from Dr. K, and wondered how many days I need to plan to take off work? I have a desk job.

Also, was anybody else nervous that you don't plan for an overnight hospital stay? Did you feel you needed it?

Thanks - appreciate your help so much.

    Nora

Denver Girl -- Welcome, I had my surgery on 1/2/08 a Wed and I went back to work on Monday. I felt fine and was just a little tired. I was not worried abt staying overnight, but than again my hubby is a paramedic and was home with me. After surgery you are pretty tired that first night, so you just sleep alot anyway. Best of luck to you as you start this new journey, if you choose Dr. K you will be choosing the "best" in my opinion.

  9. Hello All, I am new to this tread. I was banded on 1/2/008 by Dr. K in Aurora, CO. I love my band and have lost all but abt 16 lbs. I have been hearing about the Couch to 5k and today saw this thread, so I thought I would check it out. It looks like a lot of fun, so I am going to try it today. I will let you know how it goes.:smile2::ohmy:

  10. I had my surgery done in Aurora, CO by Dr. Kirshenbaum, I to was a self pay ($9995.00 which included 3 months of follow-up care, after that my fills are way cheap). If I were you I would reconsider having surgery at this time. You have way to much on your plate (no pun intended) and that is an aweful lot of money to spend. Best of luck to you that you make the best choice for your family.

  11. I keep reading that some of you are only on your 3rd fill. I have had about 6, for a while there I was having one every month. I know I am a little tight, but I like it that way. I guess we are all just so different that it takes a while to get it where we like it, right? I am finally in a place that is just right, I can eat about a half cup of food than I am done. I don't have as many stuck episodes as I used to. The last two months I have just gone in to weight and talk to Tom, than we have decided not to do a fill or an unfill, but just leave me where I am at. My next fill is set for the 7th of August. Thanks for letting me go on an don about this...

    I love you gals.
