laceygorrell got a reaction from Sleevedmeeks in STALL?
I was sleeved June 30th and I have been at a stall fluctuating 2 lbs up and then 2 lbs down. I dont hardly eat and I make healthy choices. I just got my period after 2 mths. I'm starting to get really discouraged. I think I am going to start doing 2 shakes for Breakfast and lunch, have the p3 Protein Snacks, and have a real dinner and see what that does. My highest weight was 294, starting weight right before surgery 288, and current weight is 265. I'm 5 ft 7 in

I get low carb crackers at the regular grocery store and make my "sandwich" on 3-4 crackers, open faced it helped with my desire for a bagel, cream cheese and lox. Now I just have a mini version!

So I'm two weeks out... I was 290 before surgery!!! I'm currently 268 so I'm down 22 lbs in 2 weeks. I'm starting soft foods and kinda lost of what to have... I don't eat fish or seafood of any kind including tuna, hate cottage cheese. Been having eggs, lunch meat. Was told I can have steamed boiled vegetables... I so want some cooked broccoli and cheese!!!
Also I hate yogurt... tried finding sugar free custard at Walmart last night but didn't have any.

So I started my clear liquid diet today!!! I have 2 days of clear liquid with my surgery tuesday. I have 8 bottles of Isopure. I opened the coconut and alpine punch and instantly felt nauseated by the taste. I opened up the blue raspberry and that was tolerable not good but tolerable but the after taste was horrible. I drank the bottle gone and started having a icky stomach. I sure hope I can drink one more today and 2 tomorrow. I have grape, icy orange, and pineapple orange banana I haven't tried yet!!!

Yea I just see some people say they eat everything like before wasn't sure how true. But I have looked up alternative ways to fried chicken by doing it a oven baked way. I'm gonna start playing with recipes when it's time!!! My Dr skipped pureed foods. I have 14 days liquids, 2 weeks soft foods, then introduce new meals. I definitely plan on staying away from carbs such as bread, potatoes, and rice!!!

I was allowed to add back in regular foods slowly starting at 6 weeks post-op. I have made a conscious decision not to eat the bad things that got me to my surgery day. I won't be eating rice, bread, Cookies etc.
For me now fruit is a treat, or a Protein bar, a Protein shake or something low calorie. The sleeve is only a tool and if I don't treat her with respect and just fill her with junk she will fail.
I now have grilled or bakes chicken, salmon or a bunless burger. I eat better veggies like zucchini or squash or green Beans, not potatoes or fries or rice.
I would think eating those old habits would just cause one to slide back into old habits. Find alternatives so you can enjoy the taste without having the bad parts. Good luck!

I'm actually happily finding that I do not have taste for the same foods I used to, I hate McDonalds now, the smell especially, I have my cheat days but I tried some Bush's chicken gizzards and liver and it took me two days to finish an 8 piece, I find that I prefer clean fresh foods now, fresh cut green Beans, mushrooms, carrots, chicken breast, shrimp, liver, I kinda like that I'm picky now, and my portions are very small, it's very surreal at times, a typical Breakfast used to be : 2 eggs, 6 slices of bacon, 5 pancakes, 6 cups of coffee w/ cream and sugar, and a large glass of soda or orange juice...... Now it's more like : 2 eggs, 1 slice of grain wheat bread toasted, and 1 bacon, 1/2 cup Decaf w/ powdered cream and sweet and low, and I leave about 1/3 on my plate, my head just had to catch up to my stomach, it says "stop ur full" and my head still says " you need to finish" " your being wasteful" and " you didn't like it?" So I'm doing great so far, ironically my favorite food is seafood and I can pretty much have anything except it's so expensive....lol good luck

Most people are on liquids for 2 weeks, pureeds for 2 weeks, and then soft food for 2 more weeks. So 6 weeks or more for "regular" food. And you have to wait longer for certain foods.
No, I don't eat the same food I ate before surgery like pizza and fried chicken. If I do, it's a lower carb/lower calorie version. Why would I eat the same things that made me fat in the first place? The idea is to change your lifestyle along with the surgery. That's how the ones who are successful do it, anyway. You can only get away with eating the same things but in smaller portions for so long.

I was allowed "normal" food around 6 weeks post. But I had varying degrees of tolerance to certain foods for 6-8 months. Eventually, however, I've been able to eat anything I want. Including pizza, Chinese food, fried chicken, Desserts and everything else I enjoyed before surgery.

I'm 8 days post op and have been craving some scrambled eggs but my plan calls for liquids for 14 days. Next soft foods phase my list for that is really soft chicken, deli lunch meat, cheese, fruits(apples, peaches, pealed) stemmed vegetables, and etc

I'm so ready to eat real food again all I've been doing thus far is sugar free pudding, Water, apple juice, and my Premier Protein shakes. I am one of the pickiest people ever I hate cottage cheese yogurt and fish so I'm really concerned about the soft food diet.

I had surgery a week ago. I had quite a bit of pain the first 4 days and on the 5th day I surprisingly felt alot better. I haven't had to take pain medicine I'm getting more and more Protein and Water in. My tiredness has let up alot although I still feel like I could use a little more energy. I'm so ready for our journey.

I had surgery on June 30th and I have been super exhausted... today is the only day since my surgery that I didn't nap. I actually did the dishes, folded laundry, helped cook for my family dinner this evening(my sister lives with me and my husband and she has been taking over everything while I'm recovering) so it felt better to get that bit of myself back. I find I have more energy in the prior days I also haven't taken any pain medication today so that's probably helped. Looking forward to the coming weeks and months!!!

I don't have a headache at all when standing up... but once I lay down its terrible my head feels like it's gonna burst in a million pieces... finally able to do #2 today and my gas is a little better. I still have all the rumbling in my stomach and it feels so weird. I got one Premier Protein shake down and drinking grape juice. I'm gonna work on my next Protein Shake here in a little bit. I have 4 kids and I have had alot of help. I can't wait to be 100% to do all my motherly, wifely duties.

Just had surgery on the 30th... everytime I seem to lay down I get headaches... I am also a side sleeper and since my surgery I have slept on my back in bed propped up a little bit but it has my lower back killing me. I wished I had a recliner like I did for my csections. Also is it normal to have all this rumbling in the stomach while drinking, taking medicine, and just anytime. My stomach has been doing that constantly. I have also been so gassy and letting the farts go and occasional burps but it stills continues. Any help would be appreciated
