I was so proud of myself...for the first time since surgery a week ago I got in all my water....then I realized I haven't had any Protein shakes! Lol! I'll get the hang of a balanced diet soon I'm sure

Boom! That's it! I am afraid it's gonna hurt or worse damage my fragile incisions...it's hard for me to take a pill or pills with a "sip"...
-
It looks so scary...even worse after going through the pill cutter.
I haven't had my hypertension or cholesterol pill in a week!!

Never thought about that....we have a Publix and a Whole Foods close..my husband even offered to go to some restaurants and get some soup....

No pain at all...just feel kinda yucky and woozy....have only taken 2 Tylenol for a sore neck....was sleeved 5 days ago...
-
And feel lousy! Just a general malaise and yucky.....my incisions don't hurt at all and I have just minor twinging when I drink, but my back and neck etc feel like I had a car wreck...I am spending most my time in bed because I'm scared of falling over dog, kid toys etc cause I'm woozy....also thought I'd be constipated but have the opposite.....
Anyone else feel like this? I really thought I'd feel better....

Thanks miss Mac...plus I was just reading the post about hiatal hernias...i have one to be fixed during the sleeve...I also am going to suggest they go ahead and schedule me for a hernia until they have sleeve approval..may be worth a try

I had my surgery date in my head since I started....then I got thrown off by the nutritionist when she cancelled on me and pushed me out two weeks. Due to a shutdown at work June 29th for 10 days I really need to get on the surgery schedule. I'm not getting any cooperation from my doctors office. I'm trying to push my last nutritionist visit back to June 24th which will be exactly 3 months from when I started. The office said my insurance company usually returns an approval within 48 hrs and it doesn't take "anytime at all" to get on the schedule after approval...their words not mine. I'm just soooo frustrated. I can start my liquid diet tomorrow if I have to....
Protein Fortified Foods

Went to the grocery today and I am pretty impressed with the Protein fortified foods on the market now...everything from Quaker Oats Protein fortified oatmeal to "extra" protein fortified skim milk....11g per serving as opposed to the usual 8g. I like seeking these out because when the time comes I don't ever want to see a #&$@!? Protein shake again.....
Can anyone recommend some more of these products they've discovered and used? I looked online see if there was a comprehensive list but no luck....and not interested in adding the "unflavored" Protein powder myself.....yuck....
