  1. Okay..so like clockwork my hair started falling out at the 3 month mark exactly and continued for 3 months exactly. Clockwork. Now it's growing back and it's so "weird"..kinda curly (previously bone straight) and so fine! I look like I'm sprouting chicken feathers! Lol! SO what about you? Is you hair growing back different than what fell out? Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

What we are experiencing is called "telogen effluvium". If you google that you will get a better understanding of process. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Starting a thread about hair growing back!

I don't think so..talking to people and my own research has convinced me that there is nothing that can prevent it. And once it starts there doesn't seem to be anything to stop it. But on the other hand nothing seems to make it worse. And I asked my weight loss counselor if she'd ever seen anyone go bald as a result...her answer was a resounding "no"! Almost 9 months out

I think you do slow down as your body adjusts...I'm down around 60 in 6 months but as time goes on it gets slower and slower...I haven't changed what I'm doing...I just think it happens...
  11. Has anyone found a good sugar free hot cocoa recipe? I need to borrow it to get through the holidays

    3 months hair loss

I agree I've been taking my supplements and protein and megadosing biotin and the results are the same. We have provided a shock to our system and this is what happens. Hair loss after traumatizing the body is par for the course....I don't think it has anything to do with calories or vitamins...
  16. Does anyone have any promo codes for Bariatric Choice?

    3 months hair loss

I don't think their is anything we can do but ride it out as part of the journey...I'm eating biotin like nobody's business but whether that does any good is debatable...
  18. I lost 35 lbs in the first 2 months post op but now I have stopped dead. Been sitting on 180 for 1 month. Surgery weight was 215. Has anyone else stalled like this?
  19. I'm 10 weeks out..I'm sick of water, sick of worrying about $hit like protein grams, sick of eating like a freak, sick of feeling guilty if I miss a day at the gym. Sick of stepping on the scale to no loss! I'm am sick of all of it! Thank you for reading

10wks out rant and whine and vent

Hi thickfit504 I have lost between 35-40lbs since surgery. I stay off the scale since I thought what would be a steady decline is more bouncing around and I find that frustrating. I have had some burgers and such. I don't forbid anything but straight sugary junk (cake Cookies candy). I just let my new found natural portion control take over. I don't obsess over anything I eat. I got in this place being obsessed with food so ain't goin there again. I will tell you we will lose slower because we started smaller. I see that on all the boards and got confirmation from my doctor. It's good your finding people with your body type for results. Sounds like your doing great.

  23. I'm 2 months post op...40lbs down (175 from sw 215). How will my doc know it's time to pull me off my BP meds? My high BP was weight related and it's the last prescription med I'm on and I am ready to get rid of them!
