    I'm not sure what the point of your post is. You have a record of what you are eating, you say you are losing. The only suggestion your nutritionist had was to eat more veggies. I don't think the way you are eating is a good idea, but if it's working for you in terms of losing and your nutritionist doesn't have an issue with it, what's the problem? Hopefully you are eating dark green veggies like spinach and broccoli that have a bit of Protein in them and you are getting in some form of physical activity. Is there something I'm missing? The point of the post was to find out if what I was doing was ok. I measure and log all my foods to come out to about 700 calories a day, but I wasn't sure if I should try to eat it all or just toss it when my 30 minutes was up. Does that not make sense? Idk... I'll figure it out...

    I thought that too, but food is the only thing that resolved it. Plus I stay pretty hydrated.

    If you have a decent relationship with your nutritionist I recommend speaking with her. If I was you, I would switch to one shake a day and then 2 meals and a snack if necessary. Sitting with food does not seem like a good idea. It feels like a slippery slope to grazing all day. One of the hardest things to learn is to stop when full. For me that meant stopping even when I just had 1 - 2 bites left. Now I do like @Languerr13 and trash those last 2 bites. When do you fit in drinking Water and exercise with your method? Are you logging your food and keeping track of carbs, sodium & sugar as well? Every meal doesn't take an hour, it just depends on my choices. I've noticed that I've been stretching the mealtimes in order to eat the veggies. I manage to get in all my fluids. This is a typical day: Drink about 8oz of water taking my Vitamins and medication 7am Breakfast - 2oz fat free roast beef and some veggies 10am Snack - Triple zero yogurt 1pm lunch - 4 oz tuna w/ one tbsp. of lowfat mayo 4 pm Snack - Protein Shake 6pm dinner - 2-3 oz chicken and veggie. I only drink about 20 ounces during the day because it's so cold in my office I don't get thirsty, but then I drink about 40 ounces after dinner and before bed. 700 calories and 90 protein, 36 carbs, 20 fat I log everything on myfitnesspal Unfortunately, I didn't lose my physical hunger, so I get headaches and dizzy if I let myself get too hungry. I'm losing pretty well, but I need for it to continue. Also, I met with the nutritionist last week and she said she wanted me to get more vegetables.

    I'm doing some Protein shakes if necessary, but I'm able to get my protein in with my eating method. I'm just not sure if it's right. Or maybe long term I'll be able to eat the little I've portioned out in the 30 minutes and then it will be a non-issue. I'm just not sure if what I'm doing is right.

  9. How is your fluid intake? Are you drinking protein shakes?

    Stomach growling

    I had my surgery on the 7th. Have the same problems. I'm starving it feels like no matter how much Jello or broth i drink. Did it go away. Do you get full now that you're eating solid foods? How much solid food does it take for you to feel full? It went away once I went to soft foods and puree. I still get hungry, but it's over after 3 bites.

  12. I am really struggling with head hunger. I get frustrated when I can only eat two bites of something, especially when it's delicious, lol! Plus I feel like I need the calories so I'm determined to get the food in by the end of the night. How do you manage this??

    Once I started purees/soft foods, the hunger went away. Thank God!
  19. I'll be a week post op tomorrow and I am SO HUNGRY!!! My stomach growls until it hurts. It wakes me up out of my sleep. I don't know what to do. I thought the sleeve was supposed to reduce my hunger. Instead, I feel hungrier than ever! What can I do?
  20. Sound like gas pain. I had the same pain around 2 weeks post. I asked my husband to massage my back and it released the gas.

    Pureed stages

    I blended some canned salmon with some Greek cream cheese. 26g of protein per half cup
  22. I was sleeved one week ago and I've only lost 6 pounds. Ordinarily this would be good, but if these are my reeks during rapid weight loss, then this is going to be an impossibly long journey. Note that I was 402 on my surgery date. I'm getting my protein in and adequate fluids. I have a bowl movement daily (tmi), and I walk. Any ideas of what else I can do?

    Not losing very much

    Actually that is the reason I'm struggling. I lost 15 pounds in one week back when I first started looking into WLS and I was eating every day. Then I lost 16 doing the pre-op diet for 2 weeks. I thought once I had surgery I'd lose fairly rapidly, but it came to a screeching halt. I'll continue doing what I know to do, because that's all I can do, but it's hard not to become discouraged.
  24. I know they are necessary, but they hurt! I'm down to the last 2 and I'm so tempted to skip them!
