First post sleeve cruise in 3 days
@@marcy0912 Hope you have a wonderful cruise I have just got back from Cuba and the last week of the holiday we were at an all inclusive and it was fine. Plenty of choice and no one said anything about my one course instead of the usual three, they were all more interested in what they were eating themselves. Let us know how you get on!

Surgery is tomorrow!
First of all Congratulations for tomorrow and wishing you a speedy recovery :) For one night: Loose clothes to go home in. Something to read (such as magazines, which you can just pick up and put down in between walking, sipping, sleeping, walking sipping) Gas-x strips Soap, toothpaste and toothbrush. Nightwear/underwear I stayed 3 nights and 4 days and so in addition I took and found helpful: Kindle Face wipes Lip Balm Phone and charger Shampoo and body wash 3 x nightwear I spent most of the time in between the walking etc either in bed sleeping or watching tv/reading or being checked over by the health professionals, especially in the first day. My husband brought a pillow to put over my tummy so the seat belt didn't dig in for the drive home. Otherwise the hospital provided everything else I wanted.

Surgery Dec.10! I'm so nervous! Help me?
I did a heck of a lot of reading and preparing my home for after the surgery. I bought stuff which I felt I might need afterwards and spent a lot of time here. Keep busy! It’s normal to be nervous before the surgery, I think we all go through the questioning in our heads. Is this right for me? Will it be painful? How am I going to cope with so little food in the first few months? And on and on. However we all get through it and I can honestly say that it’s been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Believe in yourself and your inner strength, you CAN do it.

°Being Moody, is it just me°
I was shocked that my hubby put up with my moods! I warned friends and work colleagues too and they were all understanding as being moody isn't really me. It'll pass. Be kind to yourself

Scale
Stick to the plan and hang on in there but I do know how much it sucks! It's a good idea about putting the scale away. Be kind to yourself, you are doing great

Holiday and Rocking the WLS
So, we just got back from a fantastic holiday, nearly 3 weeks in Cuba. Beautiful country and the Cuban's were very friendly and lovely I have to admit that I was scared before going away, as I only had my sleeve on 23/07/2015 and was worried about getting enough protein/water and food I could eat/tolerate. Especially as the majority of the holiday was driving round the Island and I wasn't sure what we would be eating. I took 24 Protein bars and a bag of Vitamins and off we headed to the sun. I ate clean, well 97% of the time, drank Water and stuck to chicken and fish when I could. I was sick 4 times (ate to much or too fast, or had food that didn't sit well with the sleeve) but otherwise everything was okay. I had a small beer near to the end of the holiday and it made no effect at all! I was very disappointed that I didn't feel drunk (only kidding!) Jumped on the scales this morning and I am 5llbs down from before I went away. I was astounded as I felt I did eat a lot even though I stuck to the plan. I have NEVER EVER been on holiday and come back lighter than when I went. I LOVE my sleeve! Kate (watching the rain pour from the English sky and wishing she was back in Cuba )

@vsghyster Nice to meet you! I usually have more Protein, calories and less carbs than yourself but that doesn't work with everyone. I guess its finding out what works for you regarding weight loss. Pain in the backside trying to figure it all out, isn't it!! Personally I don't feel you are eating enough calories and protein seeing as you are working out 4/5 times a week. Does your dietitian have any suggestions about that? Are you noting down everything you are eating and drinking? It's trial and error at times to see what works for you. Best of luck!!

Going back to work
It's always awful, that first day back. Hope it all went well!

Grilled chicken breast
If its been a couple of hours I would have a drink, sip slowly and see if it helps.
