  1. Great advice Jamie logical .. Thank you
  2. @ I would agree with what you say - I did a 40 day cleanse (fast) once and the first 7-10 days were awful but I felt great from 10 - 40 days. I had to drink double my daily dose and I drink a lot of Water (in fact thats the one thing I am not looking forward to after the sleeve... from others here, it's difficult getting down the amount of Fluid they recommend, especially in the beginning. Drink drink drink water and I am sure it will really help @@Nancy W Kate

    July sleevers?

    @@ReaderGirl : thank you Kate

    July Sleevers! Let's chat!

My date is 23rd July and I will be doing a 14 day Meal Replacement diet (drinks like slimfast) rather than following the diet I have been given by the Bariatric group. They did say the meal plan or slimfast, so in a lot of ways I am taking the easier option. Im astounded to see some people not even having to do even a days restriction on food. Kate
  5. I have purchased the sistema BPA free storage system today ( I got them from Waitrose in the uk as they are on offer - half price ) for my small meals after having the sleeve. I bought 3 x 2 pots of 5.7oz containers (great for fruit and greek yogurt) - pic here but I got the bigger sizes (but still tiddily lol) drinks you need to mix http://sistemaplastics.com/products/to-go/700ml-shaker-to-go And finally http://sistemaplastics.com/products/to-go/soup-and-noodle-2-pack They are great and perfect sizes !! Hope it might interest some - Kate

    Anxiety July Sleevers!

I'm 5 weeks away and very excitied. Just want it to be tomorrow but when it is, I am sure I will be nervous. I was hoping to drive to the hospital and be first on the list but found out today I am due to have the op in the afternoon. Ba humbug! Each day is a day we can learn more and I know everyone is different but its good to hear all the different thoughts and experiences in order to prepare ourselves. Kate
  16. Congratulations on making the decision to have surgery. Has your husband been to any of your appointments or read any information here? Perhaps he could join to get support from the wonderful people here? KIindest wishes in your journey and please let us know how the surgery goes :-) Kate

  19. I have saved my size 22 shorts (and they were snug!) from my recent holiday. We got back today and closer to the deadline so very happy! Good luck and best wishes to all the planned sleevers Kate
  20. @@chrisredjeep I have that blender too and it's excellent. Once I'm back from holiday I will start stocking up on things I will need post op. You will be in two days before I go in .... so not long now :-) Kate
  21. I have a fairly stressful job although I am very laid back and look in control most of the time (Think duck gliding on top of the river all calm and serene but peddling like mad under the Water lol !!) I am hoping to go back after 2 weeks - How long did you stay off? I don't want to put more pressure on the team once schools finish for the summer etc (my 4 are all grown up) but I don't want to go back until I feel well enough too. Kate
  22. @@EnglishDan - Congratulations and I am so happy you feel well !! Amazing weight loss in one week too. Make sure you rest enough when not working, you don't want to overdo it Kate
  23. @C2CFOREVER I take Vitamin tablets daily and have done for the past year or so and the consultant was very happy with that. I know there is a vast difference in what others do before their op so I can only go off what I am told. I was advised to carry on taking them and then once post op to take liquid Vitamins for the first few weeks. I have ordered Centrum Advance Liquid, it's more expensive for the month than tablets (£20) but I guess I want to just make sure it goes down easily enough! Hope this helps. Kate
