What @@Babbs said. Go by what your surgeon says as everyone seems to be different here. Some are on a two week pre op diet and some only one. Best of Luck and let us know how you are doing along the way. When is your surgery? Kate
  4. Another bonus to look forward to !! @@qnz234 I had my nipples pierced a few years ago and took them out after 9 months of problems. NEVER EVER AGAIN ..... Did I mention never again lol. I think I would rather give birth again and my last son was 13llbs ! Hugs Kate
  5. @@Daveo I was in Nevada in Oct 13 - we did a 3 week trip round calif/navada/arizona in a massive RV which was about the size of my home lol. I love the heat but couldn't live there all the time. I do love the fact we have four seasons in England (summer only lasts 2 weeks though ) . Just back from 3 weeks in the South of France which had a daily high of about 34... lovely !! Made me laugh though when I was back in work and driving to the office when the radio presenter and his sidekick were whooping at the high of 23 predicted for the day... Keep your fingers crossed for a few more weeks of sun for us poor Ole English please Kate

  12. @@sarahleah Not one person I have told has questioned it as they have all seen my struggle with weight over the past 20 years. People can be concerned though and some just downright rude. Make the decision for you and only you. Good luck on your journey Kate
  13. I love the 'last days of disco' - I remember it well lol !! Eating life sounds good too I am a really positive upbeat person but having a crap day today. I have had to come off HRT (patches) before the op and I started a period today. First one in 3 years and I could scream. I feel bleh so will lurk here a bit, go to bed early, have a nice hot drink and tomorrow is another day and a fresh start. No cute name for the sleeve but I could share a choice names for my period right now Kate

Pre-Op Diet Starts in One Week!

@ It seems to be that all surgeons ask for different things. Some ask for a 2 week pre op strict diet, some want 3 days, as many options as there can be. I have to do a 2 week liquid only diet and know it won't be easy but I will do it and I WON't cheat. I don't see the point at this stage. If you go in feeling you will cheat (even subconsciously) then you will. Its 2 weeks out of you life, so in the bigger picture, to maximise your healing etc etc, its nothing. I also believe its a good tool to 'get your head together' before the op. if you want it so bad then you can have it!! Have faith you can. Keep visiting the boards, buddy up with someone going through the pre op at the same time and every morning remember it's only today. Don't worry about tomorrow before its there. When you are hungry, clean your teeth, go for a walk, drink a pint of Water, chew some ice, call your buddy, visualise yourself at the weight you want to be. Hugs Kate

    Lips and mouth sores

I can't offer any advice other than see your GP as soon as you can. I hope its resolved and you feel better soon! Hugs Kate
  21. Try putting 22llbs into two bags and carry it around for an hour... It might change your mind on how well you have really done. I agree that It must be horrible for those who seem to take years to lose, when they read stories about the weight dropping off others at a fast rate. Look at your diet, see if there can be tweeks here and there and exercise more. In fact try exercising whilst still carrying those bags! Changing habits for a lifetime isn't easy but it will be worth it. Hugs and best wishes, keep us posted on how you are doing Kate
  22. @@fatsolovescandy best wishes for the next few weeks. Glad you are here to get support from everyone Not long now! Hugs Kate
