  1. I am just over 6 months out. My typical day is breakfast: scrambled egg and salsa with one piece of Canadian bacon. Snack: greek yogurt snack 2: turkey pepperoni with cheese Lunch: grilled chicken with veggies or Soup Dinner: lean meat with veggies. I do have some carbs: mashed potatoes, crackers, popcorn, etc but in limited quantities. I can pretty much eat anything but in VERY limited quantities. I don't know what sliming is, but I have never gotten sick. I get full really quickly though. Sweets are difficult. If I partake it is VERY small.

  2. 1) Let everyone know what your weekly exercise goal is: I currently exercise 4 hours a week. Like to up this to 5 hours a week for the challenge period.

    2) Let us know what your goal weight loss is for the challenge period (till 12/24) : Current weight 160 goal by 12/24 is 150.

  3. I'm sorry you are feeling this way. You are only a month out though. It does get better. I have not ever had any regrets, but definitely frustrations. I've had a 3 week stall every month since my 2nd month. I am just over 6 months out and still only eat about 650 to 850 calories a day. I work out religiously at least 5 days a week. Surgery is a tool and there are many resources that can help in this journey. My surgeon, his staff, and my nutritionist have been amazing. I promise it gets better!

  4. I had my surgery when my baby was 6 weeks old! It feels great! I am just a little over 6 months out. The first few months weight came off easier. I went on birth control in July and it has slowed. I still average about 11 to 16 pounds a month, but usually only lose weight about a week and a half out of the month. Yay for new moms and getting healthy!

  5. I do the same thing on my treadmill days. I do classes 3 days a week and the treadmill 2 times a week. During class, it is easy not to focus on the clock but there is a clock on the treadmill! I focus on the songs and getting through the playlist! Good luck on your journey!

  6. Had my surgery on 4/27 so I am almost at my 6 month mark. I am down 125 pounds, but only 95 since day of surgery. I hit a stall every month! I actually only lose weight about 1 to 1.5 weeks out of the month. Now, I may lose 7 to 12 pounds in that timeframe, but that's how my weigh loss has been every month since I went on BC in July. It is frustrating to get on the scale everyday and then some days it says a pound higher. I say, "I only ate 650 calories yesterday and worked out for an hour, how could I have gained weight?" No clue! I don't know of the "honeymoon phase" everyone talks about. I have been working hard 5 to 7 days a week since week 2! I try to stick to high Protein and low carb plan.

  7. I weigh everyday...sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I am just about 6 months post op. It is frustrating though. If you can help it stay away from the scale. check in once a week or once every other week so you don't get frustrated. I only lost weight about one week a month. I don't change anything I do. I end up losing about 7 to 12 pounds that week to week and a half, but still frustrating. It will come off as long as you are following the plan. Good luck!!!!

  8. I have to plan as well. Clothing size is a difficult one to plan. At the beginning of April I was wearing a 26/28 size 3x or 4x. Went on pre op diet and by my surgery at the end of April I was in a 24. I am now just over 5 months out and I am in a size 14 in pants and size L in tops. I've lost 120 pounds in total so there really is no way to tell. My ultimate goal is a size 8 and a size S or M in tops. Good luck with your surgery and shopping is so much more fun now!

  9. I have to agree with most of the responses on here. Your doctor was stating what he has heard. Every person is different. Of course, I WISH I could have just lost weight on my own. I wish I would never have been morbidly obese to begin with!! For me, the surgery has been the best decision I've made.

  10. I think you will find once you have surgery that it is easy to know when you are full. It is an IMMEDIATE feeling. I measured out 3 to 4 ounces. The thing is, I would get full before it was empty but would try to eat it all. I stopped doing that. I didn't want to feel obligated to eat all that was in my cup. I use the containers because I do some meal prep for the week. I have chicken and veggies for lunch or Soup. I just like that these smaller containers are a perfect fit. Plus, it helps me skip the step of measuring.

  11. My honeymoon period was extremely short. Yep, I gained 5 pounds the first week after surgery. For the first 3 weeks the weight came off relatively easily and with no effort...of course, I was on a liquid diet...lol! Then, I started working out 6 days a week and I hit a 3 week stall. I saw my nutritionist because I was starting to become depressed. She assured me I was doing everything right. Sure enough the next week I lost 9 pounds. Since 2 weeks after surgery I have worked out at least 5 days a week, taken my supplements, and even made sure I was eating right. It's been a struggle. People will comment that my weight is melting off. I tell them that's because I am in the gym 5 to 6 days a week! I will lose a couple pounds then stall for 3 weeks. During that 3 weeks I typically lose 3 to 5 inches though. I am on the last month of my "honeymoon" phase and since this has been my reality from the beginning I am in a good place. I don't expect too much.
