    Fluid volume, seems huuuuuuuuge!

hey Kinda, Puree stage today. Managed 300ml of blended cottage cheese and refried Beans with absolutely no problems. No cramps, no fullness, no sickness. The 300ml of thick puree was a small bowlful, which I ate easily. I'm seeing the surgeon tomorrow, so will tell him about it, but I'm convinced my sleeve is sabotaged and that it just won't work.

Drinking for the first time! Tips?

Amen! I felt like i was being attacked because obviously everyone is perfect but like you said everyones done it before and we all learn something new. Now i know one hour doesnt seem to be enough time to be sober. I'm so glad you took the info like a mature adult. We all make mistakes and we all learn. Bravo for having courage to admit your mistake and for fronting up to it. Respect.

Drinking for the first time! Tips?

Wait WHAT!?!?! You had five drinks and drove an hour later? :faint: Yeah i live like 10 minutes from where we were and was perfectly fine. I danced and pee'd it off. And we ate food afterwards so i was fine. The only way your body can get rid of alcohol is through your liver. Dancing and peeing will not help your body metabolise alcohol. Only time. You were a massive danger to yourself and other road users.

    Cold all the time

It's just started winter where I am and I am one week post surgery. I am freezing and I am NEVER freezing.
  5. Hi all, Sleeved last Monday (25 May) and discharged from hospital on the Wednesday. Apart from the Wednesday, since then I have been able to consume, what I consider, to be large volumes of Fluid without any side effects. For Breakfast I have an Optifast shake. Midmorning I have a glass of V8 vegetable juice. lunch I have 300ml of skim milk/low-fat yogurt blend. Mid afternoon I have the milk/yogurt blend and at dinnertime I have another Optifast shake. In between I easily get down 1.5L to 2L of Water. I feel as if I could easily have more...much more. I don't ever feel hungry, but I never feel full either. Some would say that I am luck to be able to do this, but I am genuinely concerned the surgery did not work on me. Has anybody experienced this and did it change when you started on more-solid types of foods (your punch filled up with solids, but liquids just slide on right through)? Thanks for any help you can offer.
