  1. Been waiting for a post that I can comment about Premier shakes. I now try to find the highest Protein Cereal I can find and pour my vanilla shake over it. It sweetens the Cereal and is so good. Also trying to figure out a recipe using riced cauliflower and vanilla shake for rice pudding. I made quinoa type pudding using the shake that was ok, not great.

Maybe some of you that are better cooks than I am can come up with something.

  2. @@padremama it does not work well with the Syntrax nectar. The Syntrax Matrix is a different formulation and the one you have to use to get anything that resembles something edible....ask me how I know! Matrix has some kind of egg product which prompted me to try added egg whites and a lil bit more baking powder to get it to rise.

I have replaced a snack a day with this, combined with no glass of wine in the evening and I am losing! I am ok at goal, but I like to be under goal to give me a little bounce range. I think this satiates a bit of the desire to eat, not drink and is more filling. I have no idea if the slow combined with faster release Protein of matrix makes a difference but I have been curbing my eating late in the day much more successfully.

Thanks, I think they have samples at the Vitamin store. I will try it.

  3. Has any one tasted Bolthouse shakes? I bought one in Target the other day in fridge section. Vanilla Bean. I loved it. Just don't know yet how to buy a case.

CAREFUL!!! The Bolthouse Farms ones are super high in carbs. The vanilla one has 29g carbs (28g sugar) and only 16g of Protein in 200 calories and that's for 8 fl oz. The bottles are almost 16oz so that's 400 calories, 56g sugar and 32g Protein if you drink the whole bottle.

Thanks!! Sometimes I just forget to read all the info. I already threw the bottle away.

  4. Get some help with this or it will drive you nuts as a sleeved person! One way of looking at it that's helped me is looking at it like this...

"My body is not a garbage disposal", it is not my responsibility, (and seriously no longer possible) to consume more than I am comfortable holding.

That was my favorite WW quote and has helped me for years. I am not a garbage disposal.

  5. I was sleeved last May at the age of 65. When I first asked Doctor about it, she said I was not overweight enough,, and I told her to look again. I was 100 pounds overweight. So the first thing would to find out if you qualify for insurance.

Other than that, I am extremely happy with my decision. Losing slowly which I find the older I get the slower I lose, but still losing! As many others have said, I wish I would of done this years ago, but never too late. Good luck.
