Average calories after surgery?
@@shelly.s Full liquids I was around 600 calories. Soft foods 800. Worked my way up to 1000, then 1100. I eat 1200-1500 now depending on my activity level.

This is getting ridiculous
@@BriLynGan What you eat, how many calories, Protein, carbs, really helps people help you with suggestions. I have lost 170 pounds but sometimes I have issues where I gain and lose the same 3 lbs for weeks. Sometimes it is because of what I am eating (goodbye flat bread pizza) and sometimes it is just my body fighting back and freaking out over my lower weight. I have a way to break my stalls when they happen if it is food base but if my body is fighting back nothing works. So what are you eating? In detail. Calories and grams.

I love a man in boxer briefs. When you aren't losing as fast you can invest in the athletic ones they have more support and cooling, but the are pricey for rapid weight loss.

That moment when you realize the sleeve is saving you from yourself
@@The New Kel This is really a perfect way to describe it. The sleeve in the beginning saves you a lot, and if you let it and you work with it, it changes your behavior and those changes last. Now even though I can eat just about anything I want. I don't want to, because my whole attitude about food is completely different. I would have never been able to make this lifestyle change without my sleeve. Even though I basically feel normal now, I am grateful for the lessons my sleeve taught me last year.

Diatomaceous Earth
@@Lucy425 I used it before surgery and it worked wonders. All the claims and then some. I won't try it post op though, even though I am fully healed, it isn't worth the risk. The food grade, while a very fine powder is still gritty. Also when you ingest it, you have to basically waterboard yourself with at least a gallon of Water a day. That is hard for me, even though I can chug water for the most part, but I don't have all day to drink water. I have to eat. So I am going to say now. Honestly I have the same results now, and they are just from losing weight, drinking water and eating healthy. No supplements needed.

When to start logging food?
@@StephanieS0208 I think ASAP. food tracking is so helpful in so many ways. It makes you more mindful of the calories and macros in food. It also helps you learn that having on thing isn't the end of the world. Like one small piece of chocolate, doesn't ruin your day if it is just one piece and you eat on plan the rest of the time. I think food tracking is the key to healthy eating and weight loss. It is good habit to form, the sooner the better.

Boobs and bras. :-)
No Bralette is supporting us with DDs plus. I am a F/G depending on the bra and I do have some bralettes but they don't hold me tight enough to provide comfort around the house or anywhere else. I do have some bralettes, but I layer them over bras when I wear tanks and they help cover loose skin under my arms. @@rolosmom7 Yandy lingerie is cheap, you can buy it while you are losing and if you only wear it once, who cares. They have babydolls for $13 a lot of times. Look for the sales.

Also the way the wires work/position/made is really unique. If you have side boob, it really smooths you out and pushes it all to the front.

Shoes, shoes and more shoes!
@@RosieCheeks I have lost 2 shoe sizes and gone from wearing wides to regular widths. Two things caused this, weight loss, but also with the weight loss, I don't really retain Water anymore. My feet were almost always a little swollen, and that is not the case anymore.

Attention from the opposite sex or same (depending on what you like)
@@Candygyrl I do get a lot of compliments still but I got more when I was larger. It was like when I was over 300 lbs women fell over themselves to compliment me, like they were so surprised I still made an effort.

Is peanut butter a good source?
@@iam_yamii I love the wild friends Protein plus Peanut Butter. So much I will never have it in my house ever again. It is totally delicious, but way too many calories and far too easy to over eat. I could seriously just sit and eat a jar in a day or 2. It is like crack, just don't try it or start it. The chocolate Peanut is amazing. Stay away. Stay away.

Attention from the opposite sex or same (depending on what you like)
This is a really complicated topic for me. I have always been pretty and outgoing so I have always had a lot of attention from people in general. Male and female, platonic and otherwise. Now I get more attention from a wider variety of men. Also the quality of men has really improved. I will say the overall net woth of the kind of men that talk to me has probably tripled. I'm moving into trophy 2nd/3rd wife category. The fact that I look about 10 years younger than I am seems to really appeal to a lot of men, they get the perk of someone that looks young without any of the young girl drama. As the kids say "they are on me". Women however ignore me a lot. They view me as a threat. I live in an area over ran by basic b*****s so my attire, makeup and hair really stand out. Women look me over from head to toe then ignore me. At first I really didn't understand it or care but now that I recognize it, I am amused by it. The way that random men go out of their way for me is almost embarrassing. Like they will hold doors open for me, when I am still in the parking lot not even near the door. I was dressed up for Halloween and went to a big party dressed as whorish as possible and men took pictures with me all night. A few of them were dragged away by their companions, who gave me evil looks (I don't want your husband I swear). I'm single so its fun and it saves me a lot of money, lol. I do kind of hate how women react to me now. It isn't my fault I can walk in 4 inch heels, 10 pounds of hair and a face full of makeup. I'm my own personal real life barbie and I am having a lot of fun with it. It does say a lot about women though, because I beat my face and had big hair when I was big and my shoe game has always been amazing. When I was large no one saw me as a threat but now they do. The thing is, I had just as many men talk to me when I was big as I do now. I could just ramble for hours about this. It is an ever evolving kind of thing for me right now.

Cousin has Medicaid and was approved immediately
I was put out by having to wait...actually my inability to wait for what I want is one of the biggest reasons I am fat.... The tools and knowledge I gained in the six pre op months where life changing. I am sure that's true in some cases but based on some of the questions and comments posted on this site (for example: three days post op can I eat sausage?) there are many people who don't give this nearly enough thought before they have major abdominal surgery that will require a life time of commitment. And a lot of those people wait months for surgery. It doesn't matter how long the program or wait is if people are determined to eat around their sleeve. I was highly motivated so I made it work for me

Cousin has Medicaid and was approved immediately
@@Aggiemae just because you don't wait months to have surgery doesn't mean you aren't prepared. I went from first visit to surgery in 8 weeks and I am very successful. The waiting period for surgery is useless and harmful and it still doesn't stop people from making bad food choices, not understanding math or physics.

Is my goal weight achievable?
It doesn't matter which surgery you have to lose the weight. They have the same effectiveness at the 2 year point. I am almost 16 months post op from the sleeve and i have lost 170 pounds. So yes you can lose 160 pounds with the sleeve.

My husband doesn't know my weight...at all
You might not tell your husband your weight but if he touches and looks at you he knows your weight. Guys pick me up, literally and they have an idea of your weight. Men are more physical than us, he has an idea. Just tell him, you are married, it doesn't matter.

How did WLS effect your marriage...
@ Believe me I know the problem is finding one that can keep up. It is hard to find a man into health and fitness in his 40s. I could date 30 year olds but I am resisting that route for now. I have always liked a silver fox, don't want to change now.

Has anyone be re-sleeved? Revision ?!
Why not evaluate what you are eating instead of another surgery? If you aren't eating right another surgery isn't going to save you.

FMLA approve me... but my job said no due to staffing.
Legally they can't tell you when to have surgery. Did HR say this or your immediate boss?
