  1. Maybe you have a yeast infection. Seriously...when we change so much up from our norm our bodies take a hit. Our immune systems do too. I say this from personal experience. I never ever had a yeast infection my entire life. Until march. And again april. I went in and saw my gyn. She said my immune system is low.
  2. Personally....no. Too high for carbs....
  3. I am now about 3 months out.. Still having troubles going! I do not go if I dont take miralax or MOM. I have to track when I do go...otherwise I forget and then become very ill and tired...and it os all because I need to have a BM! Drink lots of water. That is one thing that will help you. Otherwise it will become rock hard and you will get impacted. Early on....I went 2 weeks. I was giving myself enema and taking laxatives to clean myself out. It was aweful. Dont let it go for too long!

Most often people have told me to strength train. I dont know personally though since I am only 3 months out.
  5. How long does it take for this gas pain to stop? Ive used the gas x strips...no go. They work for a short time only. Also...this is day 6 of no BM....I have taken miralax with no results. I need help. This is making life so miserable. Suggestions??
  6. i have mine on the same day I am January 8th
  7. Tha k you everyone for all the great ideas!
  8. What are the top 5 thing you brought? I have surgery planned for January 8th....I kinda have an idea of what to bring....but it doesn't hurt to ask everyone else!
  9. What a wonderful idea. Since I am only about a month from surgery, I have purged my kitchen of all the tempting food items and given them to my daughter. I am not into making or eating cookies but I did make chocolates in the past. I told everyone not this year! I don't want the temptation right now and frankly, no on in my circle of friends and family need it either. I have searched out some high protein/low carb Snacks though as I know there needs to be food but just want to make sure there is something festive that I can eat. Since it is so close to Christmas now, I will incorporate your ideafor next year for sure. Thanks.
  10. For those of you who are scared to have christmas festivities....cant you make it not all about food and treats? That is what we are doing in my house. I have 5 girls and so we are doing alot of christmas crafty projects and going on outings together as a family...not focusing on just food like cookies etc. Christmas eve we are planning movie night and making lap blankets with fleece. New traditions for a new life style!
  11. ^^^^^^^^^^^ What protien drinks are you suppose to take? I have tried several and one I really like is syntrax Nectar fuzzy navel flavor. I havent had trouble drinking that one...but...we will see how i feel when im only drinking liquids starting Dec 26th!
  12. I have esophagitis and gastritis. I was placed on dexilant and that was that. My surgery is scheduled for 1/8. My surgeon said that the gastritis and esophagitis wasnt an issue....

    Afraid!

You know what...same here. I love baking with my 5 girls. I worried about this too. I havent had my surgery yet. Im scheduled for January. So this christmas...i have made it all about doing things together. We cut down our tree together. We decorated it together. We are quilting a new tree skirt together. We are making some wreaths, ornaments etc...all together. We have planned to make just a few christmas treats....because you just can not delete all of this from your traditions. You can make new ones though. Start new projects with your family. New traditions. It is what my husband and i have been working on this year....and so far, i havent gone hog wild with grocery shopping for all those cookie recipes and treats. My kids and family haven't even really noticed it, and i haven't over indulged on treats making myself sick over it later. I hope these new traditions keep for next christmas in my family.
