  1. hello new me!

    Need Advice Please Read !

Complications can happen during every surgery. Think of the millions of sleeves that have been done with wonderful results. It is very important that you feel very confident with your physician. I had the same worries but the health benefit outweighed the cons. I figured I could have this surgery now or face other surgeries later.

  7. hello new me!

    Haven't told anyone...

I'm glad to hear from others in the issue that I kind of battled with. I chose not to tell anyone except my husband and my eldest daughter, she is 21. I finally told my mom 3 days before my surgery. I have 2 boys, 12 and 10, they knew I had surgery but weren't sure for what, but they were ok with everything. I didn't want to hear anything negative from people, or all the "but why" questions. This was a very personal journey for me and I want to keep it personal. Possibly later I will share with more family and friends.

Sleeved 5/13/15, down 22 lbs. I have stalled this week, it's been 4 days since I have lost any weight. I am also very tired, I have to have naps during the day! Glad to hear it's not just me, I was starting to get worried. I sip on water all day but I'm still not getting down what I should. Thanks for sharing!

    May

Hello! My dr made it very clear to me that I would definitely feel like I had surgery day 1 and I did. Honestly it wasn't the pain it was the nausea the got me, I would try to throw up but would get scared I would hurt myself. I was also very tired and I just wanted to rest, and we all know you will not rest in the hospital. I even asked my family to not visit me, day 2, for a few hours so that I could REST! Day 5 at home for some reason I felt very bad and had some pain, not enough for pain meds though. Everyday I get better and better. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you have a smooth process. It is hard the first week but it will fly!! I do suggest to not over do it!! BEST WISHES FOR YOU!!
