  6. Well.. I was gonna Celebrate post 100 by suggesting that all the Southern Hemisphere folk get together and run amok while all the Northerners sleep. However, I've decided to be a whole lot more self-indulgent.. Now, this is the first time I'm posting pics or numbers so I'm finding it VERY confronting Anyway, here goes. I'm a big dude.. Big!! In the first pic (below) I was sitting at around 240kg (530 pounds).. See... BIG!! This was in December last year. Rock bottom came around the end of January. At this stage I'll not give the gory details, but rest assured it involved, a breakdown, tears and thoughts of just letting go and disappearing... I'd had my surgery postponed twice (finances first time and illness the second) and had had just about enough. As it turned out, I didn't kill myself. Instead, I got my **** together and did the four weeks of pre-surgery liquid diet. If I didn't want to kill myself before, I did then!!! Anyway, I survived that as well.. Surgery day (Feb 25) came and the doc made no promises about being able to complete the sleeve.. However, six hours on the table and the man had performed a miracle.. I was sleeved.. More tears!!! On the bright side tho... No pain during recovery... No hiccups along the way.. Apart from the whole not being able to break down meat Proteins (that SUX!!!) and here I am today... Speaking of today, that's when the pic on the right was taken.. I've no idea how much I've lost. I've only weighed in twice. And I honestly can't remember the exact number (or the date) the last time I weighed. My estimate is that I've lost around 60kg (130+ pounds).. It might be more.. Still a long way to go.. But it's a great start.. Thank you for your time.. If anyone ever has any questions, just ask me.. Anything!! And thank you for allowing me to feel comfortable enough to share my (personally) confronting details.. Kinda...
  7. @@smileygal I was in hospital for three nights...Wed-Sat Then off work for a week... I could have gone back to work on the Monday (desk job) but took the extra week to be certain... Maybe I was lucky but I had NO pain, NO discomfort and NO issues regarding the surgery...
  8. Hi @@penkon NSW sleever here... I use the Syntrax Matrix in both the strawberry Cream flavour and the Bananas & Cream.. The taste isnt too bad and the price is good... I get them on eBay thru supps_r_us because they're much cheaper than everyone else and the delivery is free... Good luck...
  9. Aussie sleevers!! NSW/ACT here... I was sleeved 6 months ago... Happy to share my experiences if anyone has any questions..
  10. I was the same. I could get very little in at all when I first transitioned. I still struggle wuth meat Proteins. You may be rushing and not chewing adequately. Or, as you suggested, you may need to do another week or so on purees. Ultimately, your post-surgery progression should occur in accordance with your surgeon's/nutritionist's instructions... Your best bet is to contact them and see what they have to say... Good luck... Keep us posted.. Kinda..
  11. Some natural/Greek yogurt? Maybe with a drizzle of honey?
  12. Syntrax nectar - Fuzzy Navel Syntrax Matrix - banana Cream or Strawberries and Cream Good luck with it all..
  13. My suggestion would be to ask these questions to those who have set the restrictions. They are going to know more details of your situation than anyone here. There may be a reason why you're required to stick to these restrictions. Having said that, please remember this... No matter what you have to go thru, it will be well worth the effort. The weeks and weeks of restrictions and such will soon fade into distant memory when the weight starts to come off you... Stick with it @@confusedgirl18 It'll be worth it when you get there... I guarantee it...
  14. Congratulations and well done to you mate... You've done a fantastic job and should be well pleased...
  15. I'm now brave enough to do... NAKED SELFIES!!! Just kidding... Unless... No... Never mind...
  16. So... It's the powder Room and I'm not allowed to comment because I'm a man... However... I'd like to say the following... This is now my favourite thread.. It's taken first spot from that brilliantly titled "BOOBS" thread... Thank you for allowing me into your secret girl's business, inner sanctum type area... Please, continue on your journeys of discovery... That is all.. Kinda..
  17. Syntrax Nectar - Fuzzy Navel Syntrax Matrix - Strawberry Cream or Bananas & Cream
  18. I needed to see this today... Thank you and congrats... Kinda..
  19. I have packs of sugar-free mints scattered all over my life... Kitchen... Lounge... Car... Desk at work... Gym bag... Everywhere!!!
  20. I've told pretty much everyone... For months before it happened... For a couple of reasons... One reason was that there was no way I was going to deny it like a stinkin' "friend" of mine who, to this day, swears she didn't have any surgery.. Lying b***h... Anyway... The other reason was that, when I started getting RIDICULOUSLY better looking and much, much hotter than I already was, people were gonna know something was up anyway... I mean, chicks dig me... They're gonna notice stuff... I'm not ashamed of having the surgery... And if anyone I know thinks less of me for having it then **** them!!! I love what I did and I'm proud to have done it... Viva la Sleeva!!! Kinda
  21. Oh... I saw the heading 'Carbs" and raced in here because I thought someone may have had Doritos... Never mind... Move along... There's nothing to see here...
