  1. G'day @@DistillerDave As I'm sure you're aware, the Water and the Protein are the big ones, so well done on those... If you can keep them up then the rest should all fall into place.
  2. Be excited... It's possibly the best thing you've ever done for yourself... EVER!!
  3. Hi @@lizag234 There's a fair chance that your hunger is head hunger, not stomach hunger.. This will, for the most part at least, pass with time.. Your head/mind just needs to catch up with you BRAND NEW (and likely improving) BODY!! Stick with it... Come in here and vent when you need to... Just keep up your water and keep up your protein and you'll not go too wrong Good luck to you...
  4. That is outstanding!! Well done to you...
  5. You've come to the right place. They're a very supportive lot around here. I'm not... I'm all about me. But for the most part, everyone here is more than happy to share information/opinions/advice. So don't be afraid to ask or vent... Just relaaaax...
  6. I wanted to be all wise and stuff but the previous posters have pretty much covered everything.. You're doing fine... Yep, you've slipped up.. But most of us do.. The important thing is that you know what you need to change... You've just gotta do it.. Oh yeah... Stop comparing yourself to others.. We all lose at different rates/times etc... If your surgeon is happy then there's no reason for you to not be... Now get off the bagels and get your shrinking ass to the gym... And stop freaking out.. It seems you're "normal"... Good luck to you!!
  7. I concur with @@lauraellen80 Call your surgeon... Better to confirm that it's nothing now rather than find out too late that it's something... Not that I think it's something... But I'm sure you get my drift...
  8. I don't have much of a support system as far as my weight loss goes. Well, you do now... Please don't hesitate to post any questions you may have... Or choose one or two of the 'regulars' and send them a PM... There are many who will be more than happy to help out... Good luck to you and welcome... Kinda...
  9. Line 1: Knave, you're angling for something. My trust fund and diamonds, opals, too, considering your location, are well guarded. No need to guard your belongings. Such things are of little interest to me Lines 2 and 3: You know that's not what I meant. Feel better now? You got equal time. Yes, I feel much better now
  10. @@WLSResources/ClothingExch Jealous? Me? It's possible. Unlikely... But possible... I mean, @@OKCPirate is a very attractive man... But I can't compete with your charm and wit... Plus, I'm not in that way inclined.. Therefore, he's all yours...
  11. @@cookies_queen All I see is a little box so I'm gonna assume it's a smiley face or a love heart...
  12. That's a lot of attention being unleashed upon @@OKCPirate there @@WLSResources/ClothingExch Do you think maybe that's because you loooove him? Ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Loversssss
  13. Pre-surgery I was a double shot espresso, four or five times a day kinda guy.. No milk... No sugar... Oh yeah, I loooved my coffee... In the eight months since surgery, I've had two coffees... I've no idea what has changed... I enjoy the occasional coffee that I have... Perhaps it's my sub-conscious not wanting to get 'hooked' again... My advice would be... Be wary... Addiction is addiction... And, unlike broken biscuits (Cookies to you Americans), the calories in your coffee DO count... Kinda...
  14. Outstanding effort!! Congratulations on your loss...
  15. Yes, I meant 'not'... And I've amended my post to reflect such... Apologies... And as far as me being "not so bad after all"... Correct!!
  16. Too late... I think I know the word to which you refer... If that's the one, I can assure you that it should NOT cause any offense or angst... One of the opinions given in the conversation is not necessarily the view I'd be taking, but that aside, there's certainly nothing there that should cause anyone to be troubled...
  17. I've no idea what word you're referring to so I'm gonna go back and have a look...
  18. I can only speak for myself but yes, yes they (I) do!! Sometimes I even reply... I know it's naughty... But I'm quite the rebel on occasion... Plus, I have the advantage of chicks digging me... So I tend to get away with stuff.. Kinda...
  19. Thanx... It's after a loss of approx 140 pounds, which is just over half way to "goal"...
  20. I have a side-by-side headshot somewhere on my profile that probably rates a mention.. It's a six month 'so far' kinda thing but the changes are quite dramatic...

My take on this is as follows... Losing weight doesn't change who you are.. It only changes what you look like.. Take me for example... 8 months ago, I was a fat, self centred, sarcastic, opinionated 45 yr old guy... Sure, I had my bad points too, but those are for another post... Now, 8 months (and 150-ish pounds.. GO ME!!) later, I'm still EXACTLY the same person... I just weigh less.. I'm still seld-centred... Still sarcastic... Still opinionated... Just lighter.. I'm guessing that I'm no more 'attractive' now than I was then.. Perhaps less 'unattractive'... But ultimately, I'm still the same obnoxious ass that I was .. Being fat/overweight/obese is a physicality... As I've posted elsewhere, it's what you are, not who you are... My opinion is that who you are has much more bearing on your relative 'attractiveness', as opposed to what you are.. But then again I could be wrong... It's happened before.. All the best to you mate... Kinda... ***Please note that the above post is not pointed at anyone in particular. It is merely the ramblings of a man who knows stuff. It should be read with a grain of salt... If that's possible.. But anyway, you know what I mean...***
  22. Try it with some honey... Yes, honey is high in sugar, but it's the protein that you're looking at... Honey definitely takes the edge off the tangy yogurt...
