  1. I was surprised too @ And it's entirely possible that my PT mate is dicking with me... But I went and bought a tube and am willing to put my neck on the line for the sake of beauty and science... And thanx for the kind words re the progress pics... Still in the process and in a MASSIVE stall but I'll get there...
  2. I was recently having a discussion with a Personal Trainer (PT) mate of mine. He was asking me about the changes I'd noticed with my body since losing my 230 lbs (so far).. I told him about my 'deflated balloon belly'... He laughed... I told him about the 'bat-flaps' of skin under my upper arms that slap against me sometimes when I move... He laughed... I told him about my two sizes smaller feet... He laughed.. The I told him about what was REALLY p*ssing me off... My 'turkey neck'... You see, I had a great big bullfrog type head... Neck really... I was one puffed-up-canetoad lookin' dude... I mean, have a look at this - As you can see, I've kept the beard in an effort to cover up the under-chin carry on... Actually, that pic on the right was in October last year, so I've lost a little more from there now... I'm in a new job now, so I'm decidedly more 'neat and tidy'.. Anyway, back to the 'roid cream thing... My PT mate was telling me that a lot of the female body builders he knows use the 'roid cream to smooth their bits (no, not THOSE bits) when it comes to comp time... He reckoned that if I grab a tube or two and have a crack at applying it regularly, it may just smooth and tighten my biggest uncovered embarrassment... So, here's the sh*t - Beginning Monday, I'll be applying the Doot Cream twice a day... It'll be post shower in the morning and evening... Over the weekend, I'll try to take a decent pic of the affected area... If I can do so, I'll post it on Monday, then each Monday after I'll post updated pics to see if there's any difference... I'll also be trying some 'neck yoga sh*t' that I just stumbled on when I googled "wobbly neck skin"... I hope to be able to shave the beard off (or some of it) by my birthday in July (18th for all those planning gifts)... So, if anyone is interested, stay tuned and we'll see how we go... Of course, if anyone has already tried this, please feel free to chime in and let me know how you went... Thanx for reading all the way to the end... Assuming you did... Jason
  3. I knew it... People suck...
  4. My sleeve was my first such medical procedure... Even playing football and 'bouncing/cooling' in pubs, I'd never been unconscious before... To say I was scared would be quite the understatement... As it turned out, it was all unfounded... And I'm sure that by this time tomorrow, you'll be saying the same thing... Good luck to you @@Kooky1 Keep us updated!!!
  5. @ Firstly, some of those names are awful... Secondly, I LIKE BOOBS!!!! (and boobies).. Actualy, if it comes down to it, I'm an 'arse man'... But boobs/boobies is much more fun to say!!!
  6. Boobs boobs boobies boobs boobies boobs. Boobies boobs boobs boobies. Boobs boobies boobies boobs boobies. Kinda...
  7. Congrats on the leg crossing @@Nurse_Lenora Sometimes it really is the little things... Thanx for reading...
  8. G'day @@njmatt88 I'm not sure that can be adequately answered... Everyone will eat different things and have different tastes etc... If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that on average, I'd spend $AU120 a week on food, supps etc... This doesn't include incidentals like my daily coffee or my OCCASIONAL 3 pack of KFC Wicked Wings... But ultimately, that won't mean anything to you... You'll not eat the same food as me... You'll not require the same supps as me... Maybe you'd be better off doing some research at your local supermarket... Do up a menu and go to their website and 'shop' for your weekly ingredients.. That way you'll at least get an idea... Good luck to you...
  9. I took a week and a half off from my desk job...
  10. @@CowgirlJane 46... Just sayin'...
  11. I see you've modelled it for the promo pic too @@jenn1 Good job!!!
  12. 'Normal' is subjective... But what you're experiencing is certainly not uncommon... You're body is going to rebel in some manner because you're suddenly depriving it of the sugary/salty/carby/whatevery goodness that it's been used to... You will probably get thru it without too much if a problem but if it persists, contact your medical support team... Good luck with it... Keep us posted...
  13. Welcome back...
  14. @M!@ Thanx... I'm happy to amuse... Drop in anytime...
  15. Confession.... I only came for pics... Congrats... But byebye...
  16. G'day @@Mike Dumas Welcome and all the best to you... I was another 500+lb starter (565 actually) about 14 months ago... I've lost around 240 of those pounds so far and am well on the way... Mate, if you EVER have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask them, either here or in Private Message... As I'm sure you've noticed when you looked around, there's very little that's off limits and there's a whole lotta love and support in the place... Good luck to you mate... Keep us all updated!! Kinda
  17. Great idea... What's the sodium level like?
  18. @ You gotta wait til the swelling goes down and your body work out what the f*ck it's gonna do without that extra food bucket... It's a process... You'll be dropping the kgs in no time...
  19. I've nothing to add apart from - I hear you, brother...
  20. G'day @@KittyCathy22 I'd not usually reply to a post like yours because you're really in need of stuff that I'm not much good at.. But there's something that I'd really like to say to you... I know you're a little messed up at the moment and that's ok.. You've got your sh*t to sort out and I'm pretty sure you'll get there... The reason I'm sure you'll get there is because you have what many of us here do not have... Youth... Now, I'm not calling you a kid... But you're a young woman.. And as far as I'm concerned, you're a smart young woman... Not only that but you're a courageous young woman... At the YOUTHFUL age of 22 (nearly23) you've had the balls to step up and take control of your life... You've done that now, before you get to the point that some of us old relics got to.. You know the stuff... Creaking bones... Aching joints... Flabby bits.. Honestly, that some madd decision making skillz... (I'm all over the cool talkin' stuff, yo) Now, I'm not p*ssing in your pocket and saying stuff because I think it'll make you feel better... I don't do that... (And some here will attest to that..) But give yourself some credit here... You've changed your life... You have... And for that, I simply want to congratulate you... Take care.. Stay courageous...
  21. @@sharkgirl Strangely, a little dog isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think about filling that gap... @@Elode Weren't you asked to leave this thread? I mean, I'm pleased that your last post was at least polite - but surely you've left it a little late...
  22. Again, thanx to all who have 'liked' and commented, both here and in PM... The support and 'love' that is given so freely in this forum really is a huge help to me.. Much appreciated... Jason
  23. @ Did you just volunteer? Or are you just gonna come with me when I go??
