    Help! Plateau!

I am almost 6 months out. My starting weight was 241 lbs. I am down 56 lbs and now weigh 184 lbs. I to feel stuck. Hopefully it will pass. Another hurdle has been the drastic hair loss.
  2. @slvaritx Since surgery. Thank you all for sharing makes me feel like things are moving along as they should.
  3. Just wanted to see how others sleeved around 5/12 are doing. How is the progress with weight loss and diet coming along. I am currently down 30 pounds. It feels like the last week I haven't lost more than a few ounces. Kind of scares me. Although my dr did say the weight loss would slow I wasn't sure if this is the norm.

    Recovering

Glad you are doing to well! My doctor had me on a full liquid diet for the second week but I started to introduce food like egg whites and I had bbq salmon and veggies last night. I can't eat more than a few bites but my stomach seems to handle it ok. I was told no bread crackers or rice for at least 6 months but I haven't wanted it so that's been easy. I was sleeved on the 5/12 and I'm down 17 pounds so far. I am excited about the subtle changes I see in my body already. I know I need to start working out but I just haven't had the energy. Feeling dehydrated is a constant thing. But I am optimistic that all of the peices will come together in time.
  5. Thanks for all of your replies. This group has been so much help. Tuesday will mark week 2 and I am down 17 pounds. I am definitely still learning how to eat and drink slowly. My stomach tell me when I'm not doing things right. My current challenge is the vitamins. I k ow I need them but one gummy chew has my stomach full. Is there any reason why we can't take gel caps or regular pills instead?

Post op day 3 and struggling

I also had a bit of an emotional day. I issue food. I was sleeved 5/12/15. I was 241 before surgery and am 229 today. I am on the full liquids diet as of today. I didn't expect to be so emotional about being mentally hungry. I know this will pass. This is just harder than I ever thought it'd be.
  7. I'm just looking for people to talk to about all of the changes, fears and concerns of this journey . I'm so afraid of not loosing enough weight not sure if that is normal :\
  8. My stats are 240/5'5". I am post op day 3 and am thrilled that my pain is just about gone. I haven't been hungry yet maybe just a little mental hunger but that passed quickly. I weighed my self today at 230 so I hope the weight keeps falling off.

Yes they have been a life safer. I just feel like I'm not getting the required fluids in. I try to sip all day but I just can't seem to tolerate the broth. I'm hoping next week will be easier with a few more options to eat.
  12. The hardest part is all of the trapped gas from the surgery. The broth doesn't smell or taste good. I have been able to keep some water and Popsicles down. So far I have lost 7 pounds in 2 days. I am just hoping the pain disapates within the next few days.
