Wow that was kinda rude. Depending on your doctors instructions At 7 Weeks you will be eating a large variety of foods. You won't be on fresh veggies probably. But on a cruise you should have no problem at all getting your Protein. Lots to choose from on the smorgasbords! Make sure and take your supplements with you and even pack some pre-mixed Protein shakes. I love cruises! You will have so much fun.
And don't worry about posting in the wrong thread. For some reason there are people that get weirdly territorial and snappy but for the most part, lots of people are happy to help!!

Good morning friends! Today is finally the day!!! Could not sleep last night and woke about 5am. The hospital pre op had given me a scrub stat bottle to use the morning of the surgery to decrease infection risk. Took my scrub stat shower and woke the family up. Kids are all off to grandparents and my husband, mom and I are on the road to the hospital! Nervous and super anxious!! Oh the anxiety is raging!! Will keep you all posted along the way!

Right after surgery and for about 2 months post-op I wouldn't weigh but once a week. But honestly since then I have become a daily weigher. I find it keeps me on track throughout the day knowing I will weigh the next morning.

I disagree with your take on Internet dating. Whether it is on the Internet or not, there are some odd people out there. Either way you have to weed through them. I am currently married but when I was single I dated quite a few really good men from online dating. And keep in mind that some men are not still married because they were married to crazy insane ladies.

Have you considered the possibility that you are under estimating how much you would've eaten verses now? Reason I ask is what you're describing seems pretty small to me. Im pre op and lets say I made what you said for Breakfast, wich I do pretty regularly, I would've had probably 4-5 ounces of ham, 2 eggs, 1 slice of cheese, and 2 pieces of bread. And I wouldnt have been "stuffed" either. Maybe surgery has changed what you think is alot is actually not? Just wondering.

I use agave light nectar. I have used honey also but prefer agave nectar. It takes very little to add flavor

More funny now that I look back on it.... But my first lucid moment in the hospital after my anesthesia wore off. It was at night, and quiet and the hospital I was In was small... Only 3 overnight rooms. I got up and walked to the hall pushing my IV and saw no one. I was the only patient at that time. I called for someone and no one answered. Turns out my nurse was in the rest room. But for a few minutes it felt like the intro to The Walking Dead! I remember thinking, ok keep your eyes peeled for zombies! Lol

I am 51 and I was sleeved on Monday, June 15th. No problems or nausea. Using these first few weeks to just heal. I am so glad I did this. I will admit that it is hard for me to comprehend what life will be like without the restraints of carrying Around two of me. So glad I did this!!

maggie409 got a reaction from Chrystee in Poverty and Obesity: a first hand experience
Several years ago I found myself in a similar situation. I was single and without work and the day I took $5 to the store and myself and my kids bread and ramen noodles so we could eat I swallowed my pride and applied for government assistance. The day we got our card to purchase food we went straight to the store to pick up food and have s picnic. We bought a roasted chicken, potatoe salad and a loaf of bread. When I got to the counter they said that the chicken and potatoes didn't qualify because they were pre-prepared but we could get cokes and candy bars. Made no sense to me. Luckily we made it through that rough time and really learned to appreciate the things we had and our ability to eat.

I was sleeved on 6-15-2015. My post op diet instructions clearly use the wording "eliminate" from diet. I understand that at some point we will have the physical ability to eat anything we want. But in order to be successful, I don't think my post op instructions are bad. I know that I find it necessary to have WLS because I ate processed sugars, and cokes, and processed foods, and breads. I want to eat healthy and lose weight and get fit. And when I am to the point that I can physically eat what I want, I hope to have made healthy changes in my diet. Changes that don't include the things that made me fat in the first place.
