1 month stall 3 months out

I went through the same thing, I stalled for a month, and became so discouraged! I had my surgery 4/24/15 and last week I dropped 7lbs, and then 3 days later another 3lbs. I had only been losing 1-3 lbs per week and some weeks nothing. It will come off and shock you.. Hang in there!

    Emotional Wreck

I went through those same emotions! Two weeks after surgery, I started to cry a lot! I thought I made the wrong decision. I finally came to the conclusion that I have this intense relationship with food, it was the only thing that made me ever feel good! I had to start to re-train my brain! It was not easy, but I am finally seeing the light, and my new love is how incredible I look and feel! I have a long way to go yet, but I have never felt better, and I finally have control! You will as well!
  4. My surgery was 04/24/15, I went from 245 down to 232lbs, but have not lost any additional weight, and I'm 5 weeks post op. They took me off my Water pill/blood pressure, and I think I maybe retaining Fluid. My left ankle seems to swell up slightly, but that's it. They won't put me on a water pill to get rid of the fluid as I may dehydrate. I will drink 32oz of fluid while at work, and never use the bathroom. I hope I'm not having kidney issues on top of this.

    Alcohol

I was never advised of a time limit by my doctor, however I felt I would wait a year, to make sure my pouch was healed well enough before I took my first sip of wine. I have heard of many gastric bypass patients giving up the food addiction for another addiction such as alcohol, drugs, gambling. If shopping is my only addiction, then I'm a happy girl
  6. The last couple of days have been rough for me. The Vitamins are killing me. I have never been able to take them because they always make me sick. I have the Flinstones chewables, which are making me quite ill because I can't handle the taste. Then I purchased the Centrum pills and when I swallow those they just make me even more sick. I have tried splitting them up and taking them later, but I think taking them with 2tbs of food is not helping. Any other suggestions?

    I need to VENT!

Hi, I'm new here! I had the gastric bypass on 04/24/14. I'm just finishing my second week. I have days that I feel good, and days like today that no matter what I drink I feel nauseous. I take all my vitamins, and drink 48-64 ounces of water daily. My problem is they took me off my blood pressure medication and I'm retaining fluid. Today I have an appointment with my primary care to put me on a new blood pressure medication that helps with retaining fluid. My blood pressure was 163/102 yesterday. I have only lost 2lbs since the surgery and yes it's frustrating but overall I know the big picture will be success!
