  1. Hi may sleevers. How's everyone doing? It's been a while! Any updates?
  2. Glad everyone is doing so well. I still struggle to get my Protein and Water in but at least I'm not in as much pain as I was in the beginning! I haven't done much exercise so I have a lot of flabby/excess skin especially my belly, I could fold it in half lol. Can't seem to lose the weight around my belly and waist. Work in progress I just hope it's just not to late! Post op diet 274 Day of surgery 252 Cw 197 Total lost 77 pounds although my fitness pal says 63 pounds so confused lol. I have stalled time and time again and I have had some bad eating habits like crips and salt pop corn so I feel like I should have lost more but I'm still happy with my results. My goal weight is 154 pounds So I've got a long way to! I think I'm a lot bigger than you guys post op so I'm catching up slowly. Check out the before and after pics topic on post gastric. Very inspiring. We should do our own on here!
  3. It's been a while since I've heard anything on this topic. Was wondering how you all are doing. Hope things are going well for you all????????????????
  4. How much weight has everyone lost? I haven't been able to exercise at all due to the lump I've had on my left side which has been so painful from the start and I've been told not to exercise till the pain has gone. I feel like this has slowed down my weight lost. I still walk when I can. Pre op diet 274 Day of surgery 267 Today 232 Total of 42 pounds. Feels like it should be more!

@@scoutmom I must admit I've seen a slight change with clothes so that's a positive. I've tried to take pictures but I don't notice much of a difference. Sometimes I think it's too early and I'm bound to see the change soon. Still staying positive and grateful for the lost. Thanks for the advice.

I was also sleeved may 26. I am down 40 pounds but I can't see it! As from Tuesday the challenge begins, as I'll be on normal texture foods. I'm nervous about how the harder textures will go down. I also stalled for a few weeks, but I have tried to up my Protein and Water intake and that has taken me back to a healthy 2/3 pounds weight Loss a week.
  8. Guilty! ???? I weigh my self everyday. Not a good idea as it changes daily and can be discouraging. I've had a stall for around 2/3 weeks and I hardly eat as it is a struggle. Sometimes I feel like maybe its because I'm not getting enough Protein or Water. Not sure but will ask the doctor when I have my first check up. Trying to stay positive cause Ive lost 35 pounds in total since starting the pre op diet. But I still feel like it's not a lot and a others are losing so much more. At least the journey has begun! ????
  9. My doctor only gave me a few options. Fruit cocktail, low fat yogurt, mash and baked Beans, fish stew and mash, custard and weetabix, all puréed or blended of course. I was gonna ask for some more tips too cause this isn't much of a choice. Day 2 for me on purée foods and I must stay it bloody hurts and is uncomfortable. Feels like it's stuck in my chest. I rarely eat, I never feel hungry and I can't feel restriction just feel uncomfortable And that tends to make me stop. Any advice out there!
  10. Purée and blending food starts tomorrow!!! ???? What types of combinations are you guys thinking of doing. My doctor gave examples such as mash potatoes and baked Beans, porridge, weetabix, fruit cocktail, fish stew and mash, custard etc! What about you guys?
  11. I had surgery 11 days ago and the plan has always been to have another child and I already have 2 boys! Mr surgeon has given me strict instructions NOT to conceive for at least 12 months! Which is fine for me. Of course this is to allow my body to adjust according and ensure that I can consume a healthy amount before I get pregnant. Hope that helps.
  12. @@jbokla Amazing words and good advice. Just what I needed. Thanks so much!
  13. Was just wondering how long is everyone else's liquid stage cause I'm hearing so many different examples and would love to see how you guys are all doing. I can say that things haven't been so good for me over the last couple of days. I have no taste for anything and I don't want to even eat. The meds are always making me feel ill. The pain is bothering me and I'm wondering if it's normal. Under my Chest on the left side where the stomach was taken out hurts the most. I've got a bump there which I'm guessing is swelling??? but it stops me from sitting up right or leaning forwards. If I lie on my right side and try to get up after it's my worst night mate and I can end up in tears. It feels like I've torn a staple or something most of the time! Feeling depressed at times! Never hungry but frustrated! The chest pains are so dreadful too. I really thought I would be ok by now ???? Is this normal? Starting to get concerned and wondering weather or not to contact the hospital but I thought I would see how everyone else is coping. That's my rant over. Sorry needed to share with someone ????
  14. Wow! Amazing! Very inspirational
  15. Today has been a good day. Finally came home last night so today being home feels so so good! ???? Couldn't help weighing my self, I've lost 7 pounds since surgery. And I haven't even done anything. Makes me fill so enthusiastic about the future! Total weight lost since the pre op diet is officially 25 pounds????. How you guys all doing? In terms of food. I have had a delicious West-Indian fish soup all blended up into liquid which my darling husband made me today. As well as a Breakfast fruit smoothie with milk and skimmed milk powder. And lastly a strawberry complan. Strictly following the hospitals diet and getting all my Proteins and Vitamins. So far so good.???????????? In terms of pain. Still not great. The left side of my belly still hurts quite a bit. And the build up of gas and heart burn can be real tricky but will get there. And drinking warm drinks differently makes it a little easier to get fluids down.
