    Help. I gained a pound

Just remember this is a marathon, not a sprint. You WILL lose the weight but let it happen in it's own time. Just keep doing the right things and in the long term you're going to continue to lose, I wouldn't recommend weighing yourself every day because you're going to drive yourself crazy every time your weight fluctuates. Good luck!

    Hello! New here :)

Great job Alyssa, you look amazing! Nice job. You'll get to your goal before you know it!
  6. Hi B, it doesnt hurt at all to eat post-op. You'll find that there are going to be things that are going to be tougher to eat, typically bread, sometimes Pasta and definitely steak and chicken but eventually you learn to chew the hell out of your food, eat small bites and know your limits. You'll have to feel it out a bit. It's a weird thing. It doesn't ever hurt to eat but when something doesn't feel good, I usually describe it as "not sitting well". it just feels like a bit of a lead weight is sitting in your pouch but it quickly passes. You're going to be fine!
  7. I think you'll see as the weight comes off that you'll start feeling better about yourself and you'd be surprised how a more confident you makes people look at you in a different light as well, in a good way. A little confidence in your new post-op life really goes a long way. Thanks for the compliment!
  8. I wouldnt worry about the liquid portion of the diet post-op. You really wont havemuch apetite anyway. Its amazing how much your apetite is depletedonce you are post-op. You won't mind the diet because you really wont feel like eating very much anyway. Good luck to you!

    How about some NSVs!?!?

I still think seeing people i hadn't seen in a while who didn't know who I wasmade me feel good. Also, nothing beat sitting in a roller coaster seat for the first time in years. I missed that so much!
  10. Hi B, The sad truth is that people really do treat people differently based on their weight. I noticed that as I got closer and closer to my goal weight, people who never looked at me let alone talk to me suddenly started to takenotice and be a bit more friendly. I even had a waitress who served me lunch every day by my office not only talkwith me for the first time but she actuallt sat at my table and left me her phone number on the back of the check. I was flattered but also a little ticked off because prior to having the surgery she never said a word to me and I'll guarantee she didnt even recognize who i was. Hope you are doing well! Mike
