Hello my nae is Theresa I had my surgery in Jan 2009. I just moved to Palm Coast from NJ July of last year.

Hello sorry it took me so long to get back to you I have been super busy!!! Congrats on the surgery date by the way. I absolutly loved Dr Wasser, my surgery went real smooth no complications at all no gas pains I was up walkin right out of recovery! So far as of today I almost 4 months out my surgery was on Jan 13 2009 and I am down 48 pounds and as of yet no fills!!! I think I will be getting my first one on May 11th. It is the best decision I have ever made and so glad to ahve used Dr Wasser he is such a sweetheart. Good luck with your surgery and if you need anything just pm me I will be happy to help.

Good morning everyone! I am glad to see everyone is doing so well with the band:thumbup: Well I have my third appointment since the surgery on the 9th and as it looks now I prob wont get a fill then either,(I have yet to get my first fill) Dr says I have to average atleast a pound a week if I lose less then I will get a fill. I see him every 4 weeks, and since my last appointment I already lost 8 pounds so I guess no fill we'll see. I finally made it into a whole other decade as well lol finally at the 256 mark. It feels so wonderful to look down at the scale and see the numbers going down! so far as of today I am down 44 pounds and just excited as hell at the decision I have made. I wish everyone the very best of luck on this journey! Can you believe its almost been 4 months already:thumbup:

Good morning everyone! Happy 2 month anniversary!!!!So I went for my second post-op appointment yesterday and my doctor told me I stiil don't need a fill yet! I was a little surprised :thumbup:! He told me as long as I am losing atleast a pound a week I am doing fine and won't need a fill. Funny thing is even after the 2 months I still fill the restriction is alost the same. So now at the 2 month mark I am down 37 pounds :thumbup:. I finally had to go out and get a pair of new pants and a shirt, I started this journey a size 24/26 in pants and a size 24/26 in shirts now yesterday when I tried clothes on I am finally in a size 18 pants and size 16 shirt:lol: Two more sizes and I wont have to shop in the plus size section anymore:w00t: I am so Happy to see everyone is doing well with there band and wish everyone the very best of luck!!

Good morning everyone,! Well Thursday I had my Dr appointment with the surgeon thought I was going to get a fil but surprise he told me he wasn't going to give me one just yet because I am doing so well on my own! I was so happy yet a very little bit disappointed cause i wanted to see what a fill was like lol. Crazy I know but I am so very happy that the dr is so pleased with my progress well and of course my self pleased too. As of Thursday I am down 32 pounds from surgery :tt2: I go in again on the 12th of March to see if iI am going to need a fil by then. He told me they are lookin at aleast a 1 pound a week weight loss if i fall behind that i will def need a fill but we will see. So far i am averaging aout 3.25 pounds a week. I someone said even if the dr says no fill at the next visit still push for atleat .2 to .5 cc's. I was wondering should I push for that? I mean Right now at the moment i am not having any problems only got stuck once or twice and I get full pretty much from a half a cup to 1/3 of a cup depends on what I eat. I portion everything so i dont feel to even over eat. anyway How is everyone doing I am trying to catch up on all the posts i havent been on here in a couple of days hope all is well with everyone and good luck to you all! Happy 1 month Anniversary everyone! I am so happy that I made this choice! How is everyone feeling now that its been 1 whole month gone by? So far I have lost aroune 29 pounds but it seems like for the past week or so I have been at a stand still, I have been walking about 3 miles a day and getting in about 75 grams of protein a day so maybe its just time for my fill i guess. I have an appointment on the 19th to see Dr Wasser. I just got over a very bad cold as well as a sever ear infection so i am also wondering if that might have anything to do with the stall! but even though I have been at a stand atill my clothes seem to be fitting me better things i couldn't button a week ago fit perfectly now that is just the best feeling. I am so happy my hubby actually sadid he can see a big difference in my face and how my clothes fit:w00t:. I am just hoping to get this scale moving again! Can't wait to for the skinny me to get out!LOL. oh and just had a quick question, does anyone know about how much calories and protein are a good amount to be taking in right now? I am also scared that i am not taking in enough cals and burning too many. and that maybe i am not taking the right amount of protein? :ohmy: I wish everyone the best of luck on this journey and hope to talk to all of you real soon!

Good Morning everyone even though I am a day late happy 2 week anniversary! I have started eating reg food now along with a shake or two a day and now the weight seems to be coming off even faster! I couldn't believe when i got on the scale i was down 3 pounds. I got back on the scale 2 more times lol just to make sure i was seeing correctly! So now as of today i am down a total of 24 pounds:thumbup: And lovin my band! Good Luck to you all and Talk to everyone soon!

Good Morning everyone! I am so glad to see everyone is doing so well with their bands! I feel GREAT! and would say next to my son and hubby this is the best thing that has ever happened in my life! Dr said I was the smoothest band he has ever done and the nurses said i was one of the fastest to get up after recovery and start walking, lol they couldn't keep up woth me at the hospital! I didn't have any gas pain at all thank God! and it only felt like I did alot of situps! It was SOOOOOOO much better than what I thought it would be! The Dr said I did so well he put me straight on mushies! I still was alittle careful though was alittle scared at first, but all in all I am down a total of 21 pounds and lovin my Band I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!! I go in for my second Dr visit on Feb. 19th to see if I need a fill or not the Dr said if I am still losing i wont need a fill so lets see how it goes! I am finally getting my treadmill on Fri cause its been difficult to walk it being sooooooooo cold outsside! I can't wait! Good luck everyone on your journey! I am scheduled to be banded on January 13th 2009 I was just wondering if there was anyone else that had went thru Dr. Wasser?

Hey Amymoe! The preop diet is getting old LOL! They have me basically on a liquid diet 3 shakes a day and all the zero calorie beverages I can Handle! I am not really hungery on this diet but its more of me getting tired of drinking shakes all day all sweet all day! The shakes aren't that good either the only flavor that doesnt make me gag is the vanilla. They have me taking 840 calories a day and 126g of protein. The day before the surgery i go on that all clear liquid phase. I will just be happy when iI dont have to drink my meals. :thumbup: All in all I cant wait though I have been trying for this for a while now. I was so happy to see a thread started for people who are getting it done on the 13th to have so many people going thru what your going thru at the exact same time is comforting knowing you have people there you can talk to that knows what you are feeling. Hope we can all keep eachother updated on our progress:thumbup: Good luck we only have 6 days left guys!!!!!!!!!!
