  1. Today is my 1 month sleeve-iversary! I began at 241lb, day of surgery 229, now 198! getting a good fluid/food routine. Still a bit tired, but getting there. I definitely feel it in my clothes, and love that I can fit in jeans I haven't in a long time (good thing I kept them) Back to work on the 16th, I took all 6 weeks because my job is pretty physically rigorous. Hope everyone else is doing well. I think my biggest obstacle is fighting my mind from going back to my old eating habits i.e. scarfing down my food, and eating all i can at each meal. I waste much more, and that is really hard for me, but I'm learning! :-)
  2. Hey all! Just wanted to update, yesterday was my one week follow up appt with the surgeon, I am currently 9 days post op. I had not stepped on a scale until yesterday, I was advised not to. I was very pleased to see that I am down 13.7lb since the day before surgery!!!! That's almost 14lb in a week! And I am feeling well! Energy slowly coming back, pain has always been minimal, all bodily "functions" functioning and returning to normal, and the liquids aren't even that bad! I love me some chicken and beef broth! It will be nice to eat actual substances again, but even continuing to cook for my family hasn't been too difficult! In fact with a "clear" food head, meaning not hungry or driven by cravings, I have eeven found planning and shopping for food much easier and more cost effective! I'll take it! Let's hope this continues, and I hope soon to start doing some more working out. I can't have a flat booty! Hope everyone else is well! :-)
  3. How long did your surgery take? How long do you need to stay in hospital? I had my sleeve surgery on 1/5/16, and it took about 1.5 hours, then home 2 days later, now drinking Protein, broth, juice, meeting goals. Good luck!
  4. Day 3 post op, came home last night, nausea is gone, drinking liquids slowly, got the okay to advance to protein shakes today. Very tired but good. Just battling head-hunger now. No physical hunger, just a longing for delicious tasting foods! This will be a good exercise to change my way of viewing food! Hope everyone else is doing well!
  5. Everything is going to be great! My one month post op is tomorrow so we are close. But I am down over 40 lbs already!! It is the best decision I've ever made!!!
  6. Is 3am,I'm coming up on 24 hours post op. The surgery went well, I've been up walking a few times, using my pain med and having occasional nausea, which always seems associated with belching up the gas. Looking forward to my upper gi tomorrow and that first sip of liquid!
  7. Time to wake up! Gotta shower and head in, I'll update later on how it went! Wish me luck!
  8. Hey all, I am due for my surgery Jan 5th, nervous, and excited, what suggestions do you all have for me? How is everyone doing now? Weight loss? What complications? Good luck everyone!
