  1. I agree that weight loss happens in the kitchen not the gym. I also like to add in the mind also to that statement.
  2. I do about 1800 to 2000 calaries a day. I need these calaries in order to exercise well.
  3. I only burned 10,000 thru 10 hours of exercising last week.. Wonder how much that equates to total. As many others will agree with me the machines don't give out proper amount of calaries burned. I don't go by the machines, I wear a heart rate monitor.. I run and bike many miles during the week. I agree, workout machines are highly overinflated. 10 hours is a great amount of exercise keep up the good work. Great video thanks for sharing.
  4. Thanks all for the great advice. It's strange as I havnt been able to increase my daily calaries as strangely just not interested in lots of food these days.

  6. Then you are taking your own failings and applying them to others. What caused YOUR stalls may not be universal. I am not applying my failings to others I'm just giving my opinion. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.
  7. A just like the band other surgeries can be cheated on also. It's very hard to help a person that doesn't want to help himself. My advice would be is to give him time to come around and through your future success you will get him coming round.
  8. Well done Nikkei I was gonna say the next 70 lbs will be a piece of cake but realised cake might not help you lose. So I will say a piece of fruit.
  9. I agree with you 100 percent, let the body adjust to the new you and there is no rush as you got your whole life to do plastic surgery.
  10. I know this might seem crazy to a lot of people but through experience sometimes you need to change what your body is use to in order to kickstart your weight loss engine. When the body stays on the same routine daily it needs to be tricked into losing when you first started weight loss where your heart rate was quicker and you burned more calaries.
  11. I do agree with you but in the back of my mind I feel that if increase my food intake it will boost my heart rate and thus lose more weight afterwards.
  12. Am taking two weeks off to just relax it and get away from the scale. I also have decided to allow myself a bit more food. I don't accept to lose any weight but hope not to put on as my exercise will remain the same about two hours a day ? Do you think it can be a good thing ?
  13. I think a great thing to do is buy a few emotional eating books and read a bit daily.
  14. Sometimes our bodies just need that little bit extra it's ok from time to time. Don't feel bad when it happens always remember you got the rest of your life to lose the weight not a limited time like we have conditioned our minds to think.
  15. Yes that should be fine, it also has the added bonus of lots of water keeping you feeling full.
  16. I should have said water retention. To lose 10 lbs in a week you need to burn 35000 calories.
  17. Seems like salt retention when your body released its excess water you dropped lots.
  18. Wls is a great tool but always remember it's just as much as a mind battle as it is a physical battle.
  19. I think men lose faster just because they have a higher muscle mass.
  20. I knew I'd get your attention but this is regarding weight loss. Do you think men and women lose weight on an equal level or does one have an advantage ?
  21. I truly believe exercise if done well is much more powerful and effective then what people think. It firstly suppresses your appetite and secondly it keeps you on track with your eating and thirdly it speeds up your metabolism. So I believe it's much more then just making you healthy.
  22. At 440 she felt secure because in her mind there wasn't any competition. As you lose weight, I bet your confidence is returning and that can make a man attractive as well. She may think you will leave her for a younger, hotter woman. Weight loss just doesn't affect you, it affects everyone around you because you change, not just your weight. ☺ Yes totally agree with you

If I get to goal weight I'll shout you all a pizza and ice cream.
  24. I sometimes feel like a failure cause after 6 years I still havnt got to goal weight. But I hope to do it within the next four years. I guess slow is good and why be in a hurry.
