Extra virgin olive oil 30 mls before a meal can make you lose weight as well as having endless health benefits like less likelihood of getting cancers and other diseases. My doctor explained to me today there is something in extra virgin olive oil that is unique and powers the body. He had patients use olive oil drinking it before mrals and they had some remarkable results. You can also sprinkle it on salads etc.

“Biggest Loser” Versus Bariatric Surgery: Questions
AussieSam replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
The biggest loser contestants are robots been ordered to lose big weight or else they get spanked silly. The amount of exercise they get them to do is enough to wear out all their joints. Wls peeps lose at their own pace and they are not beaten with a stick for not exercising 8 hours a day and not losing a ridiculous and fast amount of weight. -
So glad I found this site. :)

“Biggest Loser” Versus Bariatric Surgery: Questions
AussieSam replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
The biggest loser is all about the TV audience it promotes unhealthy and unrealistic weight loss and least to say a quick fix. Bariatric surgery is the complete opposite. -
New trick to reduce eating portion
AussieSam posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
By accident I came across a new trick that has reduced my eating. What happened was while having lunch I was leaning forward and suddenly I felt extra restriction. I tried it three times and it worked. I don't know if it will work for all you fellow members but it works for me. -

AussieSam replied to nerkerle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you can tolerate it I can't see any problem as it seems your eating good protein and of course a calorie is a calarie is a calarie. -
Your body has probably gone into survival mode try increasing calorie intake a bit if possible and try doing some exercise if your ready to do so.
-
Some reports say it could damage your kidneys.

Yes this happens a lot especially when you've lost some weight the body is wanting it's fat back. Make sure you take a multi vitamin first thing in the morning exercise a lot even if it's just walking around the house and drink a lot of tea.

Down to good weight now I want to eat sweets
AussieSam replied to donna450's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Donna Sometimes the motivation drops and one can find themselves off the wagon. To get back on the wagon remember what you went through to get the surgery, look at old photos and see how you were before and if you really wanna go back there, and compare yourself to other family or friends that had the surgery and were successful and say to yourself are they gonna be more successful than me. -
I guess we all have an element of fear regarding our weight especially regain and been the person that is unsuccessful with our surgery. This is where we need to believe and stop our negative mindset and we will succeed you and me and all that read this for nothing can stop us now.

You suddenly go on a grazing safari your body is calling out for anything or everything especially the things that are no good for you. You instantly lose control and start snacking and you feel like you can't stop. This happens to me sometimes especially at night so what I have learned to overcome this is make a pot of tea drink it all and fill my stomach up. One my stomach is full I won. What do you do in this situation ?

It looks like you only have about 100 lbs to lose you should go with the sleeve. Remember all surgeries are just tools if you fail with one you'd fail with the others. Sleeve is less evasive.

I'm starting preop party tomorrow....weeeeee
AussieSam replied to VancouverGirl72's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks! I'm on day four, and I'm so hungry. This is very difficult. If I didn't feel so hungry, it would be a little easier, I think. Fighting years of bad eating demons. Your profile alone is inspirational. You've lost so much weight, and you must feel amazing. Thank you for your words of encouragement. Hey vancouvergirl hunger is normal when your feeling hungry it means your body is using fat stores it will get easier once you get some fills. -

AussieSam replied to AussieSam's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi Lisa Funny you mentioned this as I been wanting to give an update on this after a seven day trial. First thing is I felt like my energy levels were double that of what it was before. I did manage to lose 7lbs this week. I'm not sure if it was because of the evo or the extra hours I put in exercise. But it did give me an enegy boost.normaly I'm going at 3 to 4 lbs a week. -
I agree with you on this its not a sprint it's a marathon the slower you lose the longer it will stay away and patience is a great virtue.
