  1. Getting back into my eating and exercise routine after being on vacation for 2.5 weeks, with most of it out of town. Happy to say I did NOT gain weight!! YAY!!

Yep! The plan is already in place. We will be splitting meals and I am taking protein bars and good high protein snacks. We already had that conversation about not being able to take the leftovers so sharing is the way to go! I am actually looking forward to this. It helps the peace of mind to already know what I will be doing.

  4. Went to the beach today and had a great time. I wasn't self conscious in my swim suit and I didn't sink in the sand as much!

  5. I can't stand holier than thou people. "I lost all my weight in one year, there's no reason you can't". GTFOH and STFU

  6. Where can I find Dr. Google who has the patent for the super deluxe sleeve?

  7. WOW 2nd week in a row I lost 6 pounds. These 12 pounds lost make up for the previous 2 weeks stall.

Proof positive that if you just hang in there and follow the plan you will get through it. Way to go!

  8. Was hoping after a 2 week stall to see the scale move down but it never turned on. This was a Siltec bariatric scale that weighs up to 1,000 pounds. This scale only weigh in whole pounds. Will be getting a new 440 pound limit scale tomorrow at Target. It will be nice to see fractions of pounds instead of whole pounds. I sure do hope I finally broke this stall-we shall see tomorrow.

Stalls are very frustrating but stick to it, your body is working hard even when you can't see it on the scale.

  9. I feel the need to start over... new friends, new "family", new circles. Sometimes you come to a place in life where you need something different.

  10. Nervous ... Im so scared that i have been through months of "hoops" and this friday i will have to submit to Aetna for them to decide . I vowd not to eat all week liquid only until my last weigh in this friday , i wont let my self be denied for gaining even a single oz.

Welcome back! Until you are ready and in the right headspace it isn't the right time. Good for you for trying again!

  14. 4 week stall finally over-Today I dropped 5 pounds for a total of 32 pounds since surgery 10 weeks and 3 days ago. Total lost from my highest weight 215 pounds. HURRRAYYYY!!

  15. Another week of not losing weight. This is only the 7th week post op. Very disappointing but not much I can do about it as I am following the plan and exercised for 4 3/4 hours on the bike this week.

Remember that even tho you may not be losing pounds, you can still be losing inches. I tended to lose pounds for a stretch and then at some points I would go down a size but the scale didn't move. I was glad I had taken my measurements before surgery and I always take them again at the first of each month. All our bodies are so different and so the loss is as individual as we are! You got this!!!

Way to go!! I am so proud for you! I bet you already feel amazing. Don't focus on the goal but in small victories! It can be overwhelming to see that number so far away. A non-food related reward for milestones is just what you need!! Celebrate that 100 pounds!!!

  17. ...And another 3 pounds has bitten the dust! Thank you Lord!

  18. 9 months post op and the loss is so agonizingly slow but is still happening. I have always said I am in this for life so trying to stay focused.

yep to all that is the thing...we lose so much at first and then it slows dramatically...not a problem tho cos this is a change for life! Thanks for the encouragement!! (The average may be 11-12 per month but not exactly how it goes lol)

I agree, I would have done it much earlier but then I probably wouldn't have had the sleeve and this is where I am supposed to be. Feeling so blessed.

Thank you so much! The loss has really slowed down but the inches are still coming off. I feel amazing! We can do this!!

Just because you don't lose pounds doesn't mean things are not changing. I went down a whole size and yet didn't lose a pound for 3 weeks. Keep faith and work it!

Also at 8 months out your restriction IS significantly less. The sleeve is now more than ever truly a tool and you must do the rest.

If you are more active that could make you a bit more hungry. Make sure you are getting all your fluids in or increase those. Remember sometimes it is head hunger, so find something to do to get your mind off food. Good luck!
