    Hello, new here

    Thanks for the suggestions.
  2. I didn't know Gatorade was ok after WLS.

    Hello, new here

    I will try them.
  4. It stinks. It's nice to know that I'm not alone. It must be "normal". I do feel a little better every day. I try really hard to get my fluids in. I have been eating Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt. It has 12g of protein per serving. That's my only source of protein right now. People have made some suggestions. I'm going to try some of them. I really appreciate all the responses. Thanks everyone.
  5. I can handle liquids. I can't do protein shakes. YUCK! The dietitian suggested freezing the shakes and eating them. She says for some people that helps. I tried some turkey today. It was so good. I could only eat a little bit. Part of my problem is I don't feel hunger. It's weird. I forget to eat. I just keep on keeping on. I feel a little better every day. You can eat spaghetti os? It never occurred to me to try that. The doctor told me to try things, but I'm too scared.

I have sugar free fudgesicles. I was afraid to eat them. I will try them out. I'm terrified of dumping.

Thanks! I will look for the app. I can't wait to get walking and exercising. I do walk a little. I have really bad plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, and posterior tibial tendinitis. I have a lot of pain when I walk. I'm sure as a lose weight it will get easier. Thanks for the list of foods.

Ok. I will try it tomorrow. We are all different. Chili is my favorite right now. I wish I could try something else. I don't know where to start.

    Hello, new here

I wasn't given a list of approved foods. I just stay away from sugar and start. There's 6 grams of fat in chili, and 17g of protein. I get a small chili from Wendy's and blend it.

Believe it or not my surgeon suggested chili. She said it usually well tolerated.

I'm glad I found it. It makes me feel better reading people questions and responses. I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had a lot of regret for a couple of days. I was so miserable with nausea. I'm feel a lot better. I can't drink the protein drinks. I'm on purées so I'm get protein from my diet. I still don't know what I'm allowed to eat. So far I eat refried beans (fat free), Greek yogurt, chili, and pudding. I really want to try other things. I have tried everything to get the protein shakes in. I feel like I'm going to vomit every time I try to drink one. I three different kinds, isopure, inspire, and carnation instant breakfast (no sugar added).
  13. I am 3 weeks postop. I was a nervous wreck the day of surgery. I was lucky enough to be the first case of the day. I didn't have much wait time. I knew it would be hard. It is a lot harder than I ever thought it would be. Probably the hardest thing I have ever done. That being said it was the best decision for me. I stated out at 323. I'm down to 290 already. It is a learning curve. It gets better every day. Just remember to take small sips of water all day. Try to get your protein in. I'm still struggling with protein. Good luck!

Thanks! A lot of people have suggested premiere protein. I will have to get some.
  15. Thanks! I've been infusing my water with different fruits and sometimes ginger. I can't handle crystal lite. It tastes too sweet.
