  1. Three days after surgery I was STARVING! It wasn't head hunger either I was actually starving. I just dealt with it. Four weeks post op I still get very hungry. I can eat and then an hour later I'm starving again. I dunno what's up lol
  2. I was the same way. I even called the doc to make sure he actually did the surgery lol Once you start eating actual food you will feel the restriction and won't be able to eat much. Best of luck to you!
  3. Yep my doc told me to focus on liquids and if I meet my protein goal great! If not, not to stress. I'm three weeks post op and I'm getting in enough protein. Don't stress yourself out!
  4. My doc allowed me caffeine. Thank goodness bc I love my coffee!
  5. This was a good thread. I'm only 12 days out and I haven't lost much. Maybe 15 lbs
  6. I seriously feel like he did not. It's been 12 days, I'm already in a stall, I am never satisfied, I can eat more than 4oz (but I don't), I am always hungry, and I am never full! I am so disappointed.
  7. Fruit is all sugar snd sugar = carbs is what I understood
  8. Thank you all. Your responses have really helped me feel A LOT better about my decision. I guess it's just one if those days..
  9. It's been a hell of a journey to get here, but I am finally three days away from my surgery, but now I'm having second thoughts. Maybe it's cold feet? All I know is that I feel angry. To me food = fun . You know, going out for dinner with friends, having popcorn at the movies etc. I don't feel like I can have fun now bc I can't eat! Does that sound strange? I feel like I'm going to regret the surgery bc I won't be able to have fun anymore! I miss food. I feel like I'm dealing with a break up and I'm sad and angry. Did anyone feel like this before surgery? Do you regret the surgery? Please tell me everything gets better lol
  10. You def aren't! Google "I cheated on my preop liquid diet" lol I spent an hour reading everyone's "confessions". Made me feel better lol
  11. I'm on day 4 of a 20 day liquid only diet. I've cheated each day, sadly. Yesterday I had a bite of a hot dog (no bun), and today I had a piece of cheese. The first day I had a cookie and the day after I had another piece of cheese. I'm not beating myself up over it. Each day I do a little better, and I'm already getting used to drinking my four protein shakes and drinking water. It's a process but I'm trying. Don't beat yourself up. Just keep going. I'm addicted to food, so going completely "cold turkey" is difficult. Its progress not perfection. Lol
  12. What is the DS? Nobody ever talks about that one. I'm just curious.
  13. Hey all! I was just wondering if anyone can give me ideas on some products I can buy to assist me in my journey. Is there a certain scale you use to weigh food? Are there any measuring cups that are good to portion out my meals? Where can I buy suitable tupperware for smaller portions? Certain baking pans? Veggie Pasta makers? Any tips would be great! Thanks! ????
  14. You all are lucky! My diet starts today, and I can only have 4 Protein shakes a day and SF liquids (Water, crystal light). It's only 4:40 and I'm dyin! Lol I just keep telling myself, it's all for health, it's all for health....,
  15. July 20th! And I'm on my preop diet already....
  16. I hope I get addicted to exercise! I think I'm going to look for a therapist who specializes in WL
  17. What's the chance of developing a substance abuse problem after surgery? If we don't have food anymore to satisfy our "fix", will we turn to drugs? Alcohol? I've been reading up on this, and I'm genuinely curious.
  18. My guess would be they are jealous of your happiness or your body. Screw them.
  19. I have the Fitbit flex (the basic one) and I love it! It's kinda fun seeing how many steps you take each day, and seeing how many miles you walk. I make a game out of it and try to do better each day, even if it's just a couple steps! You get badges for completing certain milestones and you can compete in fun games with your friends. It's a great tool!
  20. I'm looking forward to: Getting more active with my one year old son! ????❤️ Being the REAL me by shopping and buying clothes that I've always dreamed of wearing! Having my fiancé tell me I'm sexy and feeling good about myself when I look in the mirror. Trying new things like yoga, hiking (longer distances), etc. Having people stop in their tracks and stare bc I'm so beautiful lol (hoping, anyway lol) ????
  21. Ok this is somewhat embarrassing to ask, but what the hell, I'll ask it anyway. After surgery, and losing a large amount of weight, does the labia, or outer part of the genital area, also lose weight? Does it get saggy like the skin on your arms would be? What kind of changes can I expect "down there"? I'm just curious. I hope someone can shine some light on this. Thanks guys!
  22. Great Doc! I never knew that insurance companies buy stock in fast food! It's horrible.
