wascott reacted to gcroach in June Sleevers!
36 hours post op and feeling good.
Just drank the dye for my X-ray not the greatest taste but tolerable.
A diet of ice chips yesterday and walk walk walk minimal discomfort. The worst was immediately after surgery I had lots of gas pain in the chest and shoulder thankfully it started to ease off after about two hours. I was up walking about 1 hour after getting back to my room from recovery. The hospital INT here in Tijuana has been wonderful the staff so attentive and quick to respond to any needs. The language barrier has not really been an issue. I'm so happy I did this and hope the rest of my journey goes as well. I have a 5.5 hour flight Saturday home that I'm a little concerned about but sure it'll be fine.

My name is Anna, my stats are
5'5" Staring at 272, cl liq diet 246, 3 days post op. 238.
I was sleeved on Tuesday June 16, 2015. I was able to discharge the next day and was happy to do so. (My surgeon said I could stay if I wanted too)
I feel that I was able to go because I did a lot of work before my surgery. I had 4 months for my insurance so I started walking. I was up to about 2 miles every other day. This did get hard on the clear liq. I did for 2 weeks but for the most part it helped. The day of my surgery @ 10:00am I was walking at 3pm and did every hour. Belched a ton but really have not had to much shoulder pain from the gas.
I have been nauseated but never vomited. (Very close) I am drinking Water, cream of rice and Protein Shakes but I'm worried that their is going to be complications. I do get pain after 2 sips.
Who has worried about a leak or other weird stuff. I'm really occupied with this going to good to be true.

ugh, it's weird but this is so true for me. Every time I see the scale shows a smaller number I insist it must me wrong and weigh myself 5 more times to make sure! (And sometimes I even weigh my 3 y/o lol) -

wascott got a reaction from EnglishDan in Only 12 days out since my sleeve and so much has changed (pic inside)
@@EnglishDan Thanks for sharing! You have boosted my motivation. I'm on day 11 of my pre-op liquid diet. Between pre-pre-op dieting and the liquid diet I've lost a pleasant amount of weight. I have a hard time seeing it. I have noticed a change in the way my clothes fit though. Keep up the great work!

wascott got a reaction from Maggietcu2 in I wish I knew.....
For me it was my cousin openly sharing her weight loss surgery experiences in Mexico. Without that I wouldn't be having surgery on Monday and I'd still be gaining weight. Learning about this site and the affordability of surgery in Mexico led me to my decision to have this done.

wascott got a reaction from VSGAnn2014 in Ok. WTF am I doing wrong?
Empty carbs like pretzels not only don't fill you up, they drive additional hunger. Stay away from grains. (Bread, crackers, rice, etc) Add plenty of green veggies. If you need a dressing, make it zero calorie. Even reduced calorie dressings are a killer. Good luck!
