  1. I'm Aug 4th as well. Ready to get this party started.
  2. Mine isn't liquid. It's a 1500 calorie low carb low fat diet to shrink the liver before surgery. All hospitals and surgeons require different things.
  3. I'm just wondering about visitors. I want my kids to come once just to see that I'm ok but I wonder about other people.
  4. August 4th here. Start my pre-op diet on Tuesday. I'm excited, and terrified. My family and friends are all really supportive but you can never have too much support.
  5. I start mine Tuesday and I'm just going to cut everything then. I just know myself and know that's the only way I'll stick with it. Good luck, it's hard no matter what.
  6. EAS may be changing their packaging because all of their products in the purple containers were at least 50% off at my grocery store. Not sure if that's one of the proteins approved by everyone else's Dr, but if so it's worth checking out.
  7. Just got the call this morning, finally approved and given August 4th as my surgery date.
  8. I'm in the same boat. They told me "you're done with your insurance requirements and we can submit it" then AFTER I pay the giant program fee they tell me that that was true, but the surgeon requires things and they won't submit to insurance until he has all of this junk. This is stuff I've noticed other people having long after they got a surgery date. If I didn't want this so much I'd give up.
  9. I know my PCP, I'm half tempted to call her. It wouldn't be a giant issue but we're changing insurance in 2 months (different job) and I don't want to start this process over again for the third time.
  10. No luck, they're being total jerks. I have a call in to the surgeon.
  11. Got cleared through the surgeon and was all set to submit to insurance when we realized that my PCP forgot to sign one paper. This is a problem because she's on maternity leave and the office staff are being assholes about giving the paper to another Dr. Going to see the office manager and owner at 1 so I can hopefully get this taken care of.
  12. I got cleared by the psych and NUT and pre op nurse today. Meet with the surgeon tomorrow then I'll FINALLY get a date. My Dr doesn't give you a date until everything is done except checking in the hospital. Makes it all kinda nerve wracking having no idea when it'll happen.
  13. I had to have it to check for gallstones (which I had) and had my gallbladder taken out 5 days later.
  14. @@mclorrie, I'm right there with you. Meet with the Drs on May 26th then they will submit to insurance. I haven't even ever been to the weight loss center. They won't see you until everything is done and they're 99% sure you'll be approved. Fingers crossed.
  15. I'm in Frankfort, having surgery in Louisville.
  16. Where are you going? I'm in KY also.
  17. Most insurance requires a supervised diet. Mine doesn't so maybe yours doesn't either.
  18. I'm hoping for the end of May too. I'm in Frankfort but having surgery in Louisville.
  19. I've also been lurking. I'm Rachel, 37 yr old in KY. I have a husband and 2 boys (4&6) who are wild and crazy. My surgeon won't even see you until you're done with all of your pre requisites and he's 99% sure you'll be approved. I finally get to see them next Tuesday and then they'll submit me for approval. I'm hoping for May/June surgery date.
  20. I changed practices because the first one seemed really disorganized. I've changed and am really happy with the new center's support staff.
  21. Sleep study last night. I woke up on a deflated air mattress and had ripped off most of my electrodes. The guy in charge said I flipped and kicked all night, oh well.
  22. My husband is an eat anything never gain a pound type. He's very supportive but has no clue what this is like.
  23. I had to have a pre-surgery ultrasound on mine and it was diseased so it was removed 3/18. I was told that if it was already bad then it would cause lots of problems post sleeve surgery. My symptoms were lots of upper abdomen pain after eating. If I had a stone move then I was in excruciating pain.
