Prunes helped me to lose about 5 pounds. They kept me full, satisfied my sweet tooth, and kept me regular. LOL
Changing up your routine will help too. Add in some strength training. It will change up how your body is using the energy and burning calories.
Watch your sodium to reduce excess Water weight.
I also lost 15ish pounds during my liquid diet. 3-4 Protein shakes and no calorie drinks, sugar free popsicles or Jello. I prefer Premier Protein. 160 calories and 30g of Protein. The protein will help you to feel fuller longer.

RealRocknRollaVSG reacted to Babbs in How much food could you consume 6 months post op?
6 months seems to be kind of the magic number for a lot of us. I too noticed I could eat more around that time. I went from 1 egg to 2, 5 shrimp to 8, etc....I figure depending on what it is, I can eat as much as a half to 3/4 cup of food now.
One thing I had to do once I realized my sleeve was holding a little more food was start to measure everything and just STOP when I was finished with the measured portion.
Just because you can eat more, doesn't mean you should

8 Months Post Op! I swear, I look at the first pic of me, which is not even from my highest weight, and I feel like I can't breath. I feel So Much Better. Even laying around feels better and moving is a breeze. I never imagined life could be this way.

I never did a formal 1 year picture. This is a few months before VSG (date of surg 3/13/14 about 330#), and today (13 months post op) 130 gone. 20 to goal. Would love to have plastics someday.....

There is already a huge long thread dedicated to before and afters.. but it is such a fun topic I don't mind repeating!!
This is what losing 150 pounds does for you! A girlfriend of mine said the sweetest thing "I didn't know you had a teenage daughter"...LOL. I do feel like I look younger being trimmer.
Taken within the last few weeks

This was taken in December i believe - I think I was 20# away from goal, back when I was a bit curvier. I was feeling pretty good, but, I like how I look better now even if my T&A disappeared since this photo was taken.

This is my before picture at over 300#. I don't have much to say about it but I KEEP looking at my befores to remind myself how far I have come.

i haven't seen you around for awhile
    glad you are back
It took me one year to get to goal (-105 lbs)
i'm sure you already know that we all lose weight in different time periods
never compare yourself to someone else weight loss/time period etc
weight seems to come off a little quicker after WLS if you have more weight to loose (high BMI)
in the same respect weight might come off slower if you have a lower BMI (less weight to loose)
your excess weight will come off
    in its own sweet time
"God Grant Me Patience Just Hurry Up About It"
    59 lbs down!!!
    that's wonderful
continue to improve your Water & Protein intake
work on getting a good/normal amount of necessary calories
    good luck
    kathy
    congrats

Honestly I did some food funerals and it didn't hurt a bit. Some people will argue that it speaks to state of mind and perhaps it does. But I met my goal in a year and so far am maintaining at 18 months out and feeling great.

It's good if you get diagnosed now, and I agree with the others that it will help with insurance approving you.
My surgeon requested that I show 2 straight weeks compliance on my machine before surgery (which they'll verify via data on the SD card).
To be honest, I was pretty pissed at first, as the machine costs soooo much, and was an unplanned expense that bit into my surgery budget. I'm a week in and I'm still not used to this thing attached to my face all night, but I don't wake up with headaches anymore which is great.
If you end up with a machine, I hope it helps with your headaches too, and that your OSA improves as time goes by post-op.

I am delighted that I sweat MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH less than I used to. The immortal Al Bundy once said, "Do you know what fat does? Fast sweats."
    He was right too.

You could try the liquid diet a lot of us do before surgery. Mine is 6 shakes(Slimfast & Premier) and Clear Liquids. So far I have lost 7 lbs in 5 days but I wasn't dieting beforehand

I'm having the VSG on May 5th. I'm 30 years old and I've lost both parents to heart disease and I won't let it have me, too. I'm excited for the surgery, but also terrified. There's so much that I want out of life and this feels like the first step to let me travel comfortably, run 5ks and half-marathons, and someday have a family. I'm so ready!

I walked by a mirror in a store and didn't recognize myself. It wasn't me I didn't look that big. Anyway I did some research for about a week around the end of July and had my surgery August 9th in Mexico.
