  1. I had GERD before the sleeve. It didn't bother me much at all. It is worse now. I take a PPI every day, and that keeps it under control.
  2. I've tried Shirataki noodles too. I think they smell bad and have an odd texture. Have you tried spaghetti squash? Zucchini noodles are good too.
  3. I was a 35 BMI. I have lost almost 60 lbs, and I couldn't be happier
  4. I just started CrossFit. I was already found Zumba and Power Yoga. It's amazing how much yoga has toned my arms and core.
  5. Starting weight 144 Goal weight 135
  6. I'm 5'2", and I weighed 200. I have lost 60 lbs. I do have loose skin on my upper arms and around my belly. I'm 54, so I think if I was younger the arms might not have been as bad. I will say that as I started working out more, the arm flaps got better.
  7. Keep some quest bars or already made up Premier Protein shakes in your desk at work for days when you are too rushed to make your lunch.
  8. I was sleeved 6 months ago exactly. Started at 202. Now I weigh 144. I'm 5'2". I had multiple co-morbidities. Now I take no meds whatsoever. Best decision I ever made
  9. You look in the mirror at gym class and don't realize the person you see is you!
  10. Also in the midst of hair loss! I wear a lot of wide headbands. I'm at goal. Down a total of 60 lbs. I'm off all of my diabetes meds. Couldn't be happier!
  11. Try to walk as much as you can. It helps with the gas.
  12. Happy Thanksgiving! Take it easy! I'm waving from Framingham, Ma.
  13. Try different things. Find something you love. I do Zumba, yoga and walking. I hate weight lifting and the elliptical. I'm gonna try x-country skiing this winter.
  14. Being thin is great, except I'm freezing all the time now that cold weather is here!
  15. s I've started wearing a big headband to hide how bad it is. I'm five months out.
  16. I found the bottom of my sternum and was like "what the heck is that!?"
  17. You'll be a lot more successful if you approach this surgery with a positive attitude. The surgery is a TOOL. The lifestyle change is up to you.
  18. Try putting a frozen banana they the blender with some cocoa powder. Or chocolate PB powder.
  19. My hair started falling out at about 3 1/2 months, which was about 3 weeks ago. It's thinned so much! If it goes on much longer, I won't have any hair left!
  20. If you're using powder, try mixing it with almond milk instead of regular milk.
  21. Does anyone else get a migraine-like aura with no subsequent headache? I've had it a couple of times. I'm wondering if it's from low blood sugar. Eating something seems to help, although that may just be a coincidence.
