  1. Hi everyone. Yup that was me, Kimberly, on that show. But when they filmed the show in August of 2015. I was about 145-150. I was so happy at that weight. BUT...... Now almost one year later, I am at 127. I moved from MA, to OR a few months ago and I was 149. Then on June 8, 2016, I was down to 135. OK. Went to the doctors appointment yesterday and I am now 127. I am 5'8" and I look sick. My new doctor was actually accusing me of starving myself. That is so not true. I got 3 ulcers from the gastric bypass surgery and it is so painful to eat. My bones ate sticking out. I am trying to find a new bariatric surgeon. I just don't know what to do. I still see the 301 pound person in the mirror. I am using Unjury again. I am so sick of them. It was 3 years on June 25, 2016. I don't know why my body is doing this to me? If there is anyone out there who has been there. Any and ALL suggestions I would really appreciate advise. I have other medical issues as well. I love this forum. It helped me through some tough times. I need help from my greatest support family. Thanks in advance. P.S. TLC found me on this site, somehow for the show. I would like to be able to be around 140-145, again. Thanks, again for ALL the love!

    Pain Management..

Hi, I am so so sorry your going through this. I am on 120 mgs of morephine everyday due to my endometreiosus. I had a HUGE problem after my surgery. What happens is you build a tollerance up and they needs to almost double or double in a half your pain meds or change to a stronger medication. Because you have been on pain managment for a while, you feel pain more then a regular person having the same surgery. Then after about 14-16 days on the new meds, you have to dertox down to your regular does. It is a tough road but I hope your PCP, Pain Doctor AND surgeon should get on a confrence call and fix this asap!!!! It's NOT in your head!!!!! Go to the ER if you need to, to get relief. Good LUCK! WE ARE HERE FOR Y0U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kim
  4. I am shocked. I am 2 years and 4 month post op. I still have a hard time getting more then 1000 calories in. I am not trying to scare you but don't waalk RUN to the hospital. DEMAND a scope that goes down your throught (sorry I forgot what it's called) This will let the doctor's see your new pouch. They give you a dye. This DOES NOT HURT, no not one bit!!!!!! They give you IV sedation. So just take a 15 min nap. At 2 months I was still trying to drink 12 oz a day. I even got the dumping syndrome cause I had a very small bite of toast. It was so bad it took me OVER a year before I tried any kind of bread. You should ONLY be on protien shakes. I have no idea WHY your surgeon is not very concerned. I DO NOT mean to scare you at all. I am sorry if I do. But I AM CONCERNED. I had a thighplasty 6 weeks ago (this is when they take the extra skin off your thighs and hips. I had a tummy tuck in March of this year) But for ome reason since I got home from hospital, I have to eat tums after even 1 bite of food. Don't know why. I am having a scope tomorrow. Please keep up with the post. If I was you I would either go to the er tonight OR I ould be sitting at the door when the office opens bright and early first thingf in the morning. GOOD LUCK AND WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am shocked. I am 2 years and 4 month post op. I still have a hard time getting more then 1000 calories in. Emotional Wreck

Hi, your not alone. I think it's the anesthesia. Every time I have surgery I am an emotional wreck for a good 2 months afterwords. If you need to cry, then you just cry. Just please know it does get better! I just had my tummy tuck on 3\20\15 and even though it ease over 4 months ago. I still cry at sad commercials lol. It will be OK. Jus think. I had my gastric bypass surgery on 6\25\13, lost 162 lbs. I am not lookin back. Best thing I EVER did!!!!!!! Did I have complications, yes. But still, I would do it again. Good luck. We are here for you!!!!

    Food Serving Size

Hi I had a horrible time after I had my gastric bypass (surgery date ward 6\25\13). I could not even drink 1 oz of water like we were suppose to. It took me about 2 months to be able just to drink 1oz every hour. I still has problems with food. No more then 4 oz at a time. But if I eat meat like chicken or steak. I can usually only take 2 maybe 3 bites. It does depend on your doctor AND your body. REMEMBER when your body says your full. LISTEN!!!!!!!!! Eat slow. Ew your food until there is nothing to chew. There isnlting worse then being full and foodstuck in your throat. Or even worse, the dreaded dumping syndrome Just keep up with it. It is worth it. I went from 5'7" 301 to 139. It is soooooooo worth it. Good luck.
  7. I can't believe how much my body has changed in just 22 month's!!!!! I just can't believe it. It has been a tough road. But I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!!! I am still having a problem with food but I am working on that. With the great support I get from this group and my husband, my children and my therapist. I will over come this eating disorder too. I finally see the skinny me. I just found her about 2 weeks ago. I even had a tummy tuck on 3\20\15. I am recovering from that now. My new belly looks amazing! I am finally doing the happy dance, lol. I need to get some muscle back. I just got the OK to start to slowly work out again, can't wait. Hold on...... Is this ME saying this, lol. I am still looking for a buddy if anyone out their wants one too. I am starting to LOVE life again. Thank you EVERYONE for ALL your support. This is a great website! :). ????????????

    Depressed..lost nothing this month

I know a stall is hard. But I think my fitness pal is a great app that will help you. Also stay AWAY from the 'fat free' products and the surger free products. They have either more surgar (fat free) or a lot of ugar alcahol (surgar free). I like to eat the same thing, but I had to learn to change up the food and the exercie every few days cause your body does get use to it. Stalls do happen. I was stuck between at 196 for about a month. I thought that was the last weight loss I was gonna have. I did shed many tears. But a month later, It pickeed up like crazy. I went from 196 to 163 in just 2 1/2 months. And then boom another 10 lb out of nowhere. I have also learned to weigh yourself at the same time everytime you weigh yourself. Cause I use to weigh myself in the morning and then at night and it would look like i gained weight during the dqy. Then in the morning it was gone. This is a HUGE mistake. I hope this helps. Good luck

    FINALLY in ONEderland!

I remember when I hit the ONEderland!!!!!!!!!! It was amazing. I just wanted when I got weighed for them to not push the weights to 200 to start. I was so looking forward to them not having to use the 150 weights. Then when I went to the doctors about 2 motnhs ago and I was right there. GUESS WHAT.......................... They changed to a digital scale, lol. I told them I was gonna go to every room and find one of those scales, lol. That day, I had to leave right after my appt. so the next tuime I go to my pcp, I WILL find that scale, lol. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, so nice to meet you! If you to my email. Kimerick2008 @gmail.com I will give you my phone number. I would love to talk with you. I just figured out how to add you as a friend, lol As far as the pain. It was no way near as painful as the GB. My doctor gave me plenty of pain meds. I would say after about a week I was just sore. The part that hurt the most was the drains. As soon as I t them out 2 1\2 weeks later, I felt great. Now ever now and then I get some pain, but I am great!! I look forward to hearing from you. I am heading to bed now. Talk to you soon, Kim

    Pre-op liquid diet

I had to do a 2 week pre op diet. It was a long 2 weeks, lol. I was allowed kind of what you would call a meal. I could have once a day a cup of chicken broth with those really NY dots. I would measure 1\4 a cup. I would look forward to that so much, lol. I was also allowed a half of pita bread. So I would take that 1\2 pita wheat bread and put a touch of mayo ( they never said I couldn't have it, lol) and I would put a kosher dill spare into tiny pieces. I would slowly enjoy that. I would switch up everyday. My husband would see me eating the pita and laugh cause I would just go yum yum yum, lol. I would have 2 shakes a day and that made up 3 meals. I lost about 9 lbs. The worst part was the liquid Laccadive the nig before surgery. That was NOT n at all. If I literally breathed the wrong way I was running to the bathroom. I took a napandhadan accident. So you might want to wear a depends after you drink it. It cost .99 at Walmart. I got the lemon lime flavor. It didn't taste t bad actually. But I wish I had listened and wore depends. Good luck with your surgery

    Baked mozarella Sticks...yay or nay?

I am 22 months post op andi do endulge in monterella sticks. I can eat 1 to 1 1\2 backed. They are good. But I was only using liquid's for the first 3 months. All food made me sick. You really don't want to go to fast. The last thing you want to do is strech your pouch or get the dumping syndrone. Trust me it is no fun at all. Good luck!!!!
  16. Kimberly Bouche-Perez

    What have I done?

I could not even imagine going to work 4 days after my surgery. I couldn't even stand up straight for almost 3 weeks after surgery. If you still have problems with nausea, CALL YOUR SURGEON!!!! This is what they are their for. They can help with this. Just keep sipping! Just remember, is too shall pass. Just keep letting te gas flow freely, lol It makes it better. Good luck!!!!

    Cravings

Oh do NOT do it. Trust me the dumping is NO joke. I would hate for you to find this out. Just TRUST me on tat one. I am 22 months out and still having a problem with food. I do get cravins, too. Sometmes i give in and i end up regrettin it. I do remember my first taco bell. It was 4 months post op. I had 2 bites of a regular taco, Just cheese and meat. 2 bites and i was on the toilet AND throwing up at the same time. Not fun at all. Try just to wait, 3 weeks is way to early, my opinon. If you give in to the cravings you are gonna be in the same boat as you were before surgery. Good luck!

How long does dumping syndrome last?

It can last anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours. Anything longer then that, as you unfortunately found out you need to go to the er. I had it 2 times. The first time was 3 months post op. I just wanted to chew someting. So i made a piece of toast with spray butter. OMG!!!!!!! After that one bite, I thought I was having a heart attack!!!!!!!! Between bathroom visits, I just layer on the couch and cried. Prayiñg for it to stop. It took about 5 hours to stop. It was about a year before I ever tried toast again, lol Just if it happens remember the last food you sand don't eat that er again or wait a very long time, lol But snails, good for you, but yuke, lol. When eating any kind of shell ANYTHING be careful. The have a lot of bacteria as you unfortunately found out. I hope you are feeling better

    Waking up from surgery

This is the first time I ever heard about a feeding tube, ever. I had surgery 22 months ago. They put a tub to breath while I was having the surfer so I had a sore throat. I had a cathador until I left the hospital 4 days later. I am kinda shocked about a feeding be though. I was allergic to the liquid painmeds. So they put dalodin in my iv, then I was on 3 dalodin dry 4 hours for ² weeks after surgery. Just ask your surgeon what they are gonna do cause every doctor is different. Good luck
  21. I am so sorry you are in so much pain! I remember waking up from surgery screaming in pain! I felt like I got hit by a truck. Day 2 post op I cried to my husband, "what did I do to myself, did I do the wrong thing?" It took about 2-3 weeks before I could even walk. Hang in there hun, it WILL get better!!!! I promise. Do keep up with your pain meds. Take them at the right time. If it tells y9u every 4 hours for example, take it at 3 1\2 hours. That way you stay ahead of the pain. My mom has been telling me that for years and this time she was so right!!!!! Good luck hun

    I'm full all the time

I know how you feel. I am 22 months post op and STILL having this same problem. I am down to 139 from 301. My doctors want me to GAIN about 10 lbs. I don't want to but even if I did, I just can't. After 2 bites I am so full. I just ate 2 very small bites of shaved steak. Maybe .5 oz and I feel so nauseous. I am gonna call my doctor in the morning to see if he can me something for the nausea. I hate feeling sick like this. Earlier today I had 1\3 of a can of spaghetti o's and felt sick. It took me 20 minutes to get that down. I don't have problems with liquid unless it's a protein shake. Those I can only take 4 sips and that takes about 20 minutes. Keep us posted you are part of a great community here. Good luck, hun

    Clothing size

Started 22 months ago 301, then through pre op weight loss I was 264 on surgery date. I was a 24-26 bottom and a 3-4 x in tops. Now in pants 4-6 and in tops a medium to small depending on what type of shirt. I am LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!!!!

wow, I thought i had it tough with my insurance 3 groups 2 Dr. visits with the doctor who did labs 2 phyc visits 5 appts. w/nut 2 actual visits with the surgeon sleep study I think that was everything lol All in all it took 9 months. They sent it to my insurance company in march 2013. I got approved on 4/19/13 but it took until 6/25/13 to have the surgery cause my surgeon wa booking 6-8 weeks out. From going to the support groups I found out that this was quick. I have BMC BOSTON HEALNET w/MASSHEALTH as secondary. I am just so gratefull i have the coverage. I hear all the horra story's. My heart breaks for the girl who was billed years later and had to declare bankruptcy. I was able to get a tummy tuck 5 weeks ago cause of all the skin and rashes. I was denied 3 times. I had to changed the plastic surgeon and when I did I was approved in 7 weeks and my surgery was scheduled 2 weeks later. i had sleep apnea, as well. I really hope everone who needs this surgery gets it. It is a tough decision to make to even go for the surgery. KEEP FIGHTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
