Kept putting my self last, but now it's time to be first.

I have gone back and forth on when and who would perform my surgery for years (well over 10 years to be exact). So this year I turned 45 and fabulous and decided to go for it!  I am a grandmother of 4 and I want to be healthy and here for them as long as I can.  But being obese keeps me limited, and I don't want to be limited any longer. 

I am a person who takes care of everyone else first and then takes care of myself last so for various reasons I kept putting off getting the surgery. But after years of self-neglect, my weight spiraled out of control. And of course the older you get the harder it is to drop weight and your metabolism slows down. I want to take advantage of this tool to help me get my weight and health where it needs to be. 

Now for years, I was also waiting for US insurance companies to catch up with the rest of the world and begin covering the surgery.  But that just isn't going to happen, and self-pay surgery in the US is completely outrageous.  So I have decided to travel abroad to have my surgery.  After 2 years of research and saving, I am ready to undertake this tool that will hopefully change my standard of life.
