I survived the surgery! I am home now, but feel like crap. I have heard that it will pass, and I will feel really good in a few days. I'll be happy to see that day when I don;t feel like crap..Not sure how peeps actually go back to work in a week.

I strained healthy chicken noodle Soup and added broth to my regular broth. So satisfying.

I'm in Houston and my surgery is this Thursday!! Yay! My surgeon is Dr. Kenneth Hollis at Southeast Memorial. Took me 5 months to get here!! Woohoo!

My surgery is Thursday and I've been tempted MANY times but stayed strong and overcame it. I kept reminding myself how much time and efforts I put into this and I'm almost there, so no need to mess it up now.
I like to drink beer with friends, and that was my main temptation but I didn't do it and am so proud of myself because it was hard watching others, while I sat out. Hang in there! You can do it!!

I'm on the 2 week pre-op diet too and have been so hungry but am doing fine regardless. I've lost 6 lbs in 12 days.

I had surgery april 20th. The day of I was feeling great. On tuesday nausea took over and I couldn't get Down hardly anything. Yesterday was a little better but this morning wasn't good. I have a killer sharp pain in my left shoulder and I'm feeling more nauseated, but not nearly as bad as the 2nd day. liquids are tough for me. Does anyone have any suggestions or simply some encouragement to let me know this doesn't last forever? Thanks in advance.

Mine is at 7:30am this morning too!! I've been up since 2am getting a bit nervous and excited at the same time. Cheers! Here's to a new us!!! Eek!!

Pre-op prep at 6 a.m.
Transported to O R 7a.m. 1st patient of the day
Into recovery around 8 a.m.
Into a patient room around 9 a.m.
3 hour wait for my boyfriend, but just seemed like a nice little nap to me.

@@Marye382 WOW! they aren't giving you much time in the morning...you'll have to get all ready tonight!! I wonder how many people cancelled to push it up that far? Lucky you! You have less time to worry!!

Me too!! I'm so happy but so scared that something could go wrong. They just called and changed my time from 11am to 730am happy it's earlier so I can get it over with. Good luck!!!
