    April 6 sleeve!

I had my sleeve done on 4/6 and since my husband is deployed and I have a son I think I had to bounce back rather quickly so I feel fine. I do however miss food. I'm not hungry, I know that. But I have to cook for my son and it really makes me wish I could eat.

    Protein question

New Whey Protein Shots. 3.8 oz 42 grams of protein they can be gross but take it like medicine with juice or water as a chaser. Not as bad as some alcohol I've tried.

Back pain 4 days post op

No I still have my gallbladder. Surgery was 4 days ago. And the pain is a 5 or 6 but only lasts for a few seconds. I'm also having back and shoulder pain.
  6. So I have the weird back pain. I'm not sure how best to explain it. It feels like an elevator of pain is going from my upper to lower back. It doesn't last long, kind of reminds me of back contractions. I rate it like a 5 or 6. Any thoughts of what it is or what to do about it?

    Unsure of what to do...

What complications has she had from her Barrett's? Mine is very mild. I'm just afraid of making it worse. Obviously, being overweight helped to develop it to begin with. I'm just terrified that the acid reflux is going to be horrible after the sleeve, making it worse. My mom's went mostly untreated for years. And when it was treated it was not adequate. She would vomit up her food every night. pills and food would get stuck in her throat quite often. After years (she's 74) she was diagnosed with throat cancer :/
  8. I had my surgery the 6th too. I think the pain started to feel better when I got home. I am having random back pain I'm not exactly sure what it is. It's more uncomfortable then painful. Good luck!!

My mom has had Barretts her whole life. She went years with it being untreated. It's a harsh disease. Good luck with what lever decision you make

    Help with daily goals

Jamie I actually have the EAS ones, I used to drink slim fast so I think I will like those. Bikrchk- I will look those up it will be nice to have something that's not just chocolate or vanilla. I think I will do better when I'm allowed to eat other foods. Excited to get to regular food only 3-4 weeks to go. I just want to stay hydrated and healthy!
  11. Hi, I had my surgery Monday, April 6th. I was not expecting the pain sitting up- not sure why I just didn't actually think about it. It has gotten much better. Anyways my question is how did everyone get to their goals? Like the highest I've gotten in liquid is about 20-24 ounces I know I just need to keep constantly drinking. I've gotten to 20 so far today. But I am pretty behind when it comes to Protein. How are you guys getting your protein in? I have Protein powder and I put it, fruit, Water, and juice in my magic bullet and it usually tastes gross. I have tried a new Protein shake that I like but it was $4 for 14 oz bottle and I'd have to drink 3 a day to reach my goal. So how can i use the powder more effectively and can you suggest any cheaper Protein shakes that are good? Currently drinking the GNC lean shake in the chocolate flavor.
