Bubbletoes got a reaction from sbg224 in 50 lbs gone!
Yep, I made that first goal in a long line of goals I've made for myself! I've lost 50 pounds!  I'm not quite halfway there, but I already feel amazing and I'm so happy that I finally did this. I had my sleeve on May 20th and it's been all downhill since then. ????

I posted this in the "sixties" forum but wanted to be wedged in between all these young beauties! Everyone looks amazing! I still have a long way to go, but I'm working this sleeve for all its worth. I started at 276 and was sleeved on May 20. Two and a half months later I'm at 225 so I'm 51 lbs down (after an infuriating 3 week stall). I'm 64 and now I don't feel a day over 61. ????

Probably a few weeks after. I started slow with walking and elliptical but here I am 10 months out and ran 10 miles today. Every pound lost makes running a little easier.

I was a 44/46 DDD. 2.5 months later I'm a 40DD and I'm hoping to lose even more boobage. Blouses fit so much better and my chronic back pain is gone!

How can you fake it? Most insurance companies that require it want documentation and often that has to be verified by medical personnel . Can't he just see his GP? Cutting corners often just ends up biting you in the butt. If the copays are an issue he should let his doctor know.

The trick to eating correctly at work is Planning. Invest in an insulated lunch bag so you can take small portions of ok foods from home, like boiled eggs, cheese, an ounce of nuts, and yogurts. Sliced cucumbers and tomatos have become my desperation friends. Instead of eating my tuna salad as a sandwich, I now use thick slices of cucumbers as crackers. I have lately discovered that if I eat a gherkin, my taste buds don't ask for anything else for a while.
No kidding: if you are hungry and it is not time to be hungry, drink some non-caloric beverage or a Protein shake.
Someone said on the forum the other day that if we are between meals, hunger is not an emergency. I printed that out and taped it to my desk in my home office.

I wish somebody told me I'd pee blue for a few days after surgery. My surgeon did the leak test right after surgery with dark blue dye and it took several days to get it out of my system. Blue pee was quite startling at first!

When I was on Clear Liquids I liked the ProtiDiet liquid concentrates. They are 15 grams of Protein per packet and rather than dilute them, I poured them over crushed ice and ate them like a slushy. They were very helpful in helping me get my protein in early.

Oh my gosh, this is sooooo common. Annoying and kinda scary, but common. I had it too and couldn't focus on anything for well over a week. My job relies on my ability to read and think, and it felt like I was never going to be "normal" again. Sure enough, adding Protein back into the diet helps a ton, as does getting enough sleep/rest. A few weeks from now, you'll barely remember this phase! :-)
    Hang in there.
