  1. I had my surgery Monday June 15 and I am on day three of full liquid diet. I weigh myself every Saturday morning and this morning my weight is 19 pounds higher than last Saturday. I have only eaten what I was supposed to eat. I have walked every day. When I was in the hospital they gave me a lot of fluid to get my urine output up so I could be discharged. I have had no pain but I am very down about this unexplained gain. My follow up appointment is Friday June 26. I am calling the office Monday but I am hoping someone can tell me they had the something like this happen to them. Thanks for listening.

    June 15 Surgery

Almost complete week one of liquid diet. Lost 8 pounds and was easier than I thought. Down 41 pounds overall since March. Doctor wanted me to lose 40 prior to surgery. Very excited. Getting my hair cut short today followed by a pedicure. Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful day today!

    June Sleevers!

My date is Monday, June 15 which is two weeks from today. I started my Protein Shake diet today and go for my last pre op appointment today. I'm anxious for this and very excited for this to really happen. I know this will be long journey, but I have a lot of support in my personal life, my professional life and from the community here on this message board.

    June 15 Surgery

I am having my surgery Monday, June 15 at Abington Memorial Hospital with Dr. Bonanni. I start the pre op diet Monday, June 1. I am anxious. I don't really know what to expect. I haven't been on this board much, but I am going to make an effort to do better there. I started this whole process in February 2015. Seems to have been a whirlwind of appointments so far. Thanks for listening.
  5. That is a famous line in Funny Girl, my favorite movie. I am new to this message board, in fact I'm new to message boards all together. I am on the road o my surgery and have all my lab work done. My endoscopy is scheduled for May 1. My surgeon wants me to lose 40 pounds and I am down 12 as of this past Saturday. I only weight self on Saturday mornings. I am ready for this surgery and have lots of support in my personal and professional life. What I do not have is anyone to talk to and ask questions about pre and post surgery that has been through this process. That is why I am here. I 48 years old and need to lose a lot of weight to be healthy. I have been doing well eating and not missing the sweets and heavy carbs I used to eat. I hope my weight loss pre surgery continues as it has so far. Thank you for listening to me and for helping me find my way through this journey.
