sunflower0022 got a reaction from purrfctangel in Spanking by mentor
That's a hard situation. I don't have any advice, but, you're on here, and I know ice fallen a few times, I'm 6 months out. It's not easy at all..just hang in there with the temptations. Maybe just don't tell her as much as you have been.Im here too, for reasons like that as well.

Hi everyone!
I had surgery in June and am down 45 lbs. I have recently started falling off the wagon so to say and a friend recommended this forum. I recently turned 30 and want to be down 100 lbs by my 1 year anniversary. So far I think my struggles have been minimal except for getting enough Water in everyday. Hoping this will help get me back on track!

So what will you do to break the cycle? When that urge hits and you go to grab something justifying why you are doing it, what will you do instead? For me that's the key to breaking bad habits. You've already identified the issue, now develop a game plan.

Hi, I had the gastric sleeve done 1/19/15 and I have lost 86 lb since the prep liquid diet on Jan 2. Yay! BUT I am struggling to stop eating when full, and justifying snacking in between meals. Emotional comfort eating is something I deal with...Ik its important to take the time to recognize the difference between physical hunger and head hunger. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop, the wt loss to stop like all my other wt failures. I need direction! I eat the snack (usually low fat cheddar cheese or cheddar cheese popcorn) and then beat myself up with guilt and condemnation and feel miserable. ..I need a structured plan, not a vague few min mtg with my dietician. This is my shot, my window and I don't want to fail! Are you all experiencing cravings? How are you succeeding?? What works best for you? Most of the time I do really well, hubby and I just joined a gym, 700-800 cal a day, plenty of Water most days, I avoid fried and high fat high carb foods, no bread or Pasta, control my portions, but there are those days... UGH! and I feel like I am sliding little by little back into old habits! PLZ HELP!

Well, I was told the first 3 months were "free" as far as losing weight was concerned, anything after that I would have to work for. And I am. What I do is go back to the basics; minimize the carbs, get in as much liquid as I can, focus on serious Protein, make sure I get in my vitamins..., maybe exercise a little more vigorously. Seems to work. I am at 3 1/2 months out, and am down 50lbs. Doc says I should lose about 65 percent of my EXCESS body fat due to the surgery, so I'm probably close to that. Anything extra that appears to be "free", I'll take! Good luck and hang in there!

If you haven't taken measurements already do so. Sometimes the scale isn't moving but your still losing inches.

@@Elode, that is so true, weird, I wake up each day smaller even if the scale doesnt move, seems impossible but I have witnessed it first hand, hang in there Sunflower we all took a long time to gain and I know it would feel so much better to lose it fast but after all the work, undergoing MAJOR surgery and still waking up each morning, you should Celebrate every ounce, you have earned it! And DON'T SLACK, look what you put yourself through to get here, never forget it!!! ,<3
