    Pouch Reset

Hi guys, Just need some advice. I'm around 1 year and 6 months out... I have been stalled at 72kg for around 2 months and previously I stalled at 80kg and 75kg. For a fair amount of time. I'm thinking about resetting my pouch and I definitely think that snacking at work may be contributing to it. How did everyone go with theirs? And do you think it is better to have 2 shakes etc in the morning and then a chicken etc for dinner or just shakes?

    Regret

@@phuckyourtruth Omg! Girl, I feel you. I was the same when I got out of my surgery. I regretted it until probably my 3rd month completely. I'm now a year out and can tell you it does get better for most. It has definitely become the best thing I ever did and my mother did it at the same time did. It just takes progress. Your stomach needs time to heal and get used to everything again. You just need to focus on the positives and trust me, cry and scream and find someone who will just hold you through it. It always feels better then Good luck!
  3. It bothers my mum a lot. She gets the "are you sick?" And "you've lost a lot of weight, is it healthy" ... Which sucks because it took so much to get healthy but she is starting to tone so hopefully that'll die down I don't mind it, but yeah it's definitely the people who haven't seen you and don't see you daily who comment the most

    The waiting game

@@bellabeans Yep, I did it all. I saw the nutritionist twice in that time as well as the psychologist and physiologist (exercise health specialist) I had been trying for years to lose weight and had been logging everything so I was able to prove it and what not that it wasn't a whim so I think that was a factor as well It was fast because he had cancellations in that time which I snapped up otherwise it would've been the beginning of April that year.

    Exercises

Hi guys, Not sure if I should post this in this part of the form or not. I'm just over a year out of surgery, and have lost approx 36 kilos... (If the scales are right, just moved so waiting on my aria to arrive) However I still feel like I'm big like before hand, logically I know that's not true but I'm thinking it's because I'm not toned- so still have a little tummy etc The photos attached are my before and afters... What kind of exercises are/did people do that helped with toning and slimming the fat on their legs and stomach areas? Would appreciate the help Cheers, Elle
  7. This is mine. I'm not finished still have 16kg to go. My mum has already reached her goal! I went from 111kg to 82.7 in 5 months so far. The photo with the fishes is me 10kg lighter so add on about 20 pounds to it and you'll see what I was. I stopped taking full body photos when I got huge The graduation photo was a month ago and I was still 5kg heavier but that dress I was able to find straight away instead of the stress of nothing fits! Best thing I've ever done! just need to reset and kick start my body again
  8. My biggest and first cheat was about 3 weeks out and I went to a mates birthday and had a piece of cake! I resisted all the other food but I saw the cake and couldn't help myself..

    Increase in appetite

I'm exactly the same! I'm 3 months out and have definitely been eating more! My NUT who I saw today was happy with how much I was eating just wants me to track all the protein! just remember your still healthy and eating a ton less than most people
  10. My pain lasted about a week and half.. And same with my mum. Walking does help. We did heaps at the hospital. It helps get rid of the gas ... It does get better as you go along, I'm almost 3 months out and 20kgs lighter now. But I won't lie and say it's been a fun ride figuring everything out! But plus side pain is gone but be careful of eating and drinking to fast because it causes pain that feels like a heart attack (so so painful) which is a major bitch!!!

    Post-op periods

I've had two periods since the op and I'm still normal, I have three heavy days and 2 light. I have noticed that I don't feel the cramps at all! It's like they don't exist anymore.. I used to have to take so many painkillers to deal and now I have none .. Very odd!

    Sleep

I was about 7-8 days out before I slept comfortable .. On my side. I did use to heat packs for it as well.. And throughout the day Definitely try that it does get better
  13. The only people that know for me are my brothers and dad (had to explain exactly what it was as they didn't know and my bro was like "is this a diet thing?" And once I explained what it did and it was permanent.. He understood and was extremely supportive) and my mum knows as we did it together which made it easier. I didn't think anyone else needed to know, and a lot of them would've said something negative or unsupportive so that's why I kept it quiet

    March 23rd!

That's good! It sucks it's been rough for the whole 3 weeks.. I find that certain days are worse ... I'm glad you got the cream of wheat down you must of really wanted it by now! I completely understand the cold drinks! I do love warm tea but God I wish I could have colder drinks and have lots of it.

    March 23rd!

Hey guys, I've been a tad absent since surgery but I'm getting better. The first week and half sucked majorly and I regretted the surgery immensely. I was in a ton of pain, worse than I ever expected.. Ever! However, it's almost the end of the third week and I feel okay most of the time and the feeling of regret is gone mostly until I really want something and can't. But will get over that. I occasionally get dizzy or feel ill but I think that's because I might not had enough Water at that point. I have hydralyte ice blocks to help if I need them and they seem to be helping. I am getting water down easily most days, occasionally I just can't bring myself to have much. I have noticed that later in the day; I can get more down and quicker. I don't have much issue swallowing and think that I can take more than most (my mum can't get as much down) ..I can also eat reasonably on what I have been allowed to. I can stomach soups, mash, mince, cans of tuna and chicken. I can eat cheese, and some sandwich meat.. I have lost around 11 kilos or 24 pounds. Which I am glad for, I feel better and I know that I look better. Some of my clothes are really loose. I do wish I had lost more but I'm thinking that'll come when I exercise as well. But it's starting to look up more and I'm just looking forward to being able to go out and do stuff or whatever and eat. Obviously healthy and not as much but actually be able to get something.. But yay! Finally on the road to weightloss and a better me!
