    Chewing gum

I was asked not to chew it for the first 6 weeks. Two reasons..accidentally swallowing it (digestion problems) and bringing air into your stomach (pain). After 6 weeks dr asked to be mindful while chewing it. Enjoy it and spit it out. Chewing gum was not a deal breaker for me either but sometimes it just helps freshen my breath and mouth.

    Not Losing In My Waistline

I was just the opposite..weight came off my waist and not on my lower body. Pants are way to big around waist when they fit my legs. We are all different and it will come off as it wants. But it will come off as you follow your program. Don't worry about it..

I put nonfat powdered milk in it while cooking and added some non-flavored protein to make it worth it.

If you knew then what you know now

The thing I was not prepared for and brought me a great deal of stress was how fast you would out grown all your clothes. I had spent years building a work wardrobe. All to big now. And what to do with them... In the five months I have lost three sizes. I'm not complaining but just did not realize it would come off that fast. At first I would pin them around the waist and then even took out my sewing machine and altered them. But at a certain point they just had to leave my closet and house. I feel better in clothes that fit I might add. Lol

    Tiredness and Regret

I was very tired. My nutritionist looked at my food diary and I was not getting enough protein. I made that my goal and I was amazed at how better I felt. Protein first is my life motto now. It will get better. You had major surgery and your body is in a state of confusion.

    Hair loss?

Mine started about 3 months. I got my hair cut short and that helped. My doctor told me it would occur but that it would not be permanent. I'm 6 months out and it is much better. Biotin did not help me.

I am a cheap date! NSV

Love it..so true. I continue to go out and eat. I Order what I want and usually only eat a few bites and then I take it home. Usually don't eat it again. So end up throwing it out. I just say to myself. I would be eating out if I had not had the sleeve and spending the same money. I do have one friend when we go out for lunch we have learned to share a plate. That is vey cheap.
  23. Everyone is so different. If something does not set well, I try to avoid it for a while. I have learned in the 4 months post surgery breads and pasta are my worst. They fill me up too fast and I'm miserable. Oatmeal does not want to move so I avoid it all together. I have also learned that not drinking (minimally 30-45min) before I eat helps.

    STILL UNDECIDED ????????

I have no regrets. My food relationship has changed but that is a positive thing with no major emotional problems. I'm so glad I am on this new journey. Best of Luck with your personal decision.
