    Struggling with pre-op weight loss

Honestly hun of course Loosing weight is not easy and you think to yourself I am setting weightloss goals for weight loss surgery? really so it is discouraging and I went through pre-op procedure over 4 times before I went completely completing the whole thing. I am now just waiting for my surgery date trust me it is no walk in the park I was also diagnosed with sleep apnea and I need to use my cpap mask for surgery so there are people who have more difficult time than other and still go through surgery. So I believe in you do not quit. I wish the best of luck I was supposed to loose 33 pounds and I lost a total 17lbs which was not easy but I did it. And now I am just waiting for my date. Good LUCK!!!

    March 24, tomorrow!

Good luck hun, Please let me know how it goes because I have a cpap machine as well and it makes me nervous to go through surgery with that but best of luck I know all will go well I am supposed to get my date april 1 so keep your fingers crossed for me.
  8. I am currently undergoing my pre surgery diet and I have done and finished all appointments for surgery and got referrals done and all but I was diagnosed with sleep apnea I am getting CPAP machine today, the sleep clinic told me I have to use it about 30 days before they clear me, it is very uncomfortable from my experience with the sleep study and I also have to loose 10lbs more . which loosing weight isn't the issue it is just the part of sleeping with a machine that is shoving air in you while you sleep, I also have to bring the machine with me to surgery I have yet to get a date, due to these two last things but I am hoping to receive surgery soon enough I have been doing all the work up since june of 2014. Any advice? suggestions?

Am I selfish for doing this?

First off its hard for anyone being over weight to loose weight especially the older you get i do not believe your taking the easy way out i believe you have given it your all and your taking the last thing possible step to make your health better many people may not agree but no one is living in your shoes do what your heart tells you and remember this surgery isnt a walk in the park i know family members first hand who have done it and said the last thing it will be is EASY!! So sorry to your husband but it is definitely not as easy as he may think this may be the most challenging thing you will go through, best of luck to you.
  10. How was ur ekg results hun? and i am sorry to hear all the extra stuff is happening but its for the best to have safest surgery possible don't be discourage god is on your side
