Picked up the two most gorgeous apples at the store today. I got moved on to fruit (and lunchmeat) a little over a week ago. I've been too afraid to try it until now. Going to peel them (which is a shame because I love the skin, but I've seen so many of you comment on issues with the skin) and split it with my other half. Mmmmm apples.

Had an unexpected major stress event last night. Immediately my thoughts went to opening a bottle of wine. But went to freezer for a sugar free popsicle! Ok, I had three of them. ☺ Progress.

14 months post op today! Down 196 pounds since surgery and 259 overall. At 191 pounds, I'm almost into the 180s!

Now, it seems, I'm a coddling old prude who stares at walls because I don't like cheap chain restaurants.

After 21 total days of liquids, I was given permission to move onto well-cooked green beans, string cheese, and cottage cheese 4 days early. Looking forward to seeing how this goes!

Hi! Hope everyone is awesome! I have one more notch down on my bmi and will be considered overweight and not obese. Man i havent been overweight since 2002 lol. So i am very happy to go from super morbidly obese of a bmi of almost 50 to now close to 30.

Jeopardy taught me something this evening -- that bourbon is made from corn. I like bourbon, but never knew its origins and it wasn't until the quiz that I realized I'd never even wondered. Isn't moonshine made from corn? Does that mean that bourbon is a fine version of the likker that's made beyond the eyes of the revenooers?

Geez! I had a bit of red wine tonight while making dinner. I still cannot believe how quickly a few sips impact me. I guess that is what happens when you cook with wine and there is some left for you. Feeling mellow......
