    New...but need some clarification

I thank you so much for the speedy reply and clarification. I truly appreciate it. I recently just signed up for the insurance at my job. I wanted insurance for the dental and preventive measures. I wasn't really considering the sleeve due to me feeling like a failure. But I seen and read a lot of stories. Im encouraged and currently feel blessed. Any WLS is a tool and not an easy way out. From what I seen, its a lifetime commitment. Thanks again for replying. Muahh ????
  2. Good morning everyone. My name is Stephanie. I tried losing weight most of my life. I was successful but unfortunately gained more than half, if not more back. I seen the amazing results from my coworkers with having the sleeve procedure done. I went to a seminar last Thursday. The dr office called me yesterday and told me:My insurance covers the lap band, sleeve and gastric bypass. I have to get a psychological evaluation(which is done at the dr office )and meet the weight loss requirements for the surgery. I was also told that my insurance has no wait time. I honestly don't understand what is "no wait time means?". I was told by my coworkers that there is different steps that I have to take for the surgery. My other coworker said that it took her 6 months. But the dr office rep stated that my requirements is the psychological evaluation and weight loss.Im lost. My first appointment is Feb 4th.Is everyone requirements based on an individual level or do everyone basically go through all of the steps such as nutritionist n etc? If i have confused you then im sorry. I think I've confused myself. Lol. Thanks in advance for any comments. Muahh ????
  3. Hello to everyone. My name is Stephanie. I'm debating about getting sleeved. I have always been an obese female. I had hip surgery on both hips when i was younger. I have screws thats inserted. When i gain weight, my knees swell. Last year on 2/24/14 I weighed 293 pounds. Im currently am 245 pounds. I also have a thyroid issue. I'm debating about getting the surgery due to life issues. I was doing so well with exercising until my vehicle engine went out. I want to consider the sleeve because of my future. If i don't get control of my weight before i hit my 40s, I may need a hip replacement for both hips. One big issue is that I eat just to eat. Im not hungry most of the times.I know i'm an emotional eater. So i'm not sure if the sleeve will work for me. I also am hypothyroid. I did lose 121 pounds back in 2009 but i gained back more than half when i was in nursing school. Im only 20 something pounds away from my total lost 121. I don't know what to do though. To get the sleeve for my future mobility or continue to workout. Any suggestions??? Thank you in advance.
