    Really Nervous

There were no surprises for me after surgery, except that I could eat a little more than I expected. It hasn't stopped the weight loss though. The surgery was pretty much painless after the first few days. I was a bit nauseated right after surgery (did not throw up), but they gave me medication for that as well. I feel so much better now I wish I would not have waited so long! Good luck, you will be fine!

February Sleevers - how are you doing?

Weight before pre-op diet 345. Day of surgery 320. Sleeved 2/11. Current weight 289! I upped my exercise and that helped tremendously.

    Help!

There can be lots of naysayers out there that do not understand our struggles. Some out of concern and some simply do not want to see us succeed! Stay focused on your health and the positive people in your life. I am 2 weeks post op and have no regrets.

    Day 8 Update

Yeah we should listen to our doctors. I feel pretty good as well and our surgery dates must be close to the same. I enjoyed reading your timeline. I figure after all the years of working hard I should be able to take it easy for a while and concentrate on my health for a change. I am fortunate I have not had any complications.

What activities are you looking forward to doing?

I'm one week post op. I can so relate to everyone's posts! Had me cracking up thinking about fitting into restaurant booths, airplane seats, and tying my shoes again without using the pant leg assist method.

    Return to work/physical job

I scheduled 3 weeks off, and at 1 week post op, that still seems about right for me. I figure if I need more or less time I can always adjust.

Yes you can do it. Good luck to you. I felt both excited and apprehensive. Just had my surgery Feb. 11th. So far so good!
