I have struggled with weight all my life. I was abused as a kid with food (force fed and alternately starved) so I figured this screwed up my metabolism/eating habits.

I also drank my way to my weight, addicted to soda. Eating one large meal a day usually and close to bed also helped me climb to almost 400lbs. I decided to quit soda and lost a good 50lbs. I also began to swim and walk more.

I herniated my disc working for a factory and this rendered me pretty much bed ridden as the extra weight destroyed my ability to take care of my self let alone swim or walk.

I had two torn acls as well from middle school track injuries so I decided to get the gastric sleeve done. My medicaid was taken away before my surgery and I had to wait a few months so I could get it back. I finally did and got my surgery in July of 2014 as opposed to January.

Recovery was phenomenal, no issues at all, was walking around the hospital within hours. I did have bad nausea at first but the medicine given helped a lot and I slept it off mostly. I was bad at getting fluids in though. I just wanted to sleep lol.

I am now post op by a good 6 months and can eat whatever I want, just not much like half a sandwich is enough for a few hours. I have lost 120lbs since July 1st and continue to lose.
