  1. Down 50 lbs!!!! Sleeve 2.11.15. Best thing I have ever done for myself! How is everyone progressing?
  2. Same here, more I move the faster it melts away! So nice to know it's not coming back, only loosing more in the future!
  3. Yes, make yourself walk. I drink warm water and it goes down much better. Every day you will get like 5% better. Hang in there, at 2 weeks you should feel almost 100%. Keep positive and sleep it off.
  4. I started walking on the treadmill at 3 weeks after surgery. Only went at a speed of 2. You can feel it when you overdo it and need to slow down. I got on eliptical yesterday (4 weeks) and it felt fine. My doctor only recommended walking for the first 4-6 weeks. "If it hurts, don't do it"
  5. Woohoooo FF50s! Can you imagine how good you're going to feel in a month? in a year? The future is bright congratulations on your success so far!
  6. Big Day! It's been 6 years since the scale was under 200 lbs until today! Best decision I've ever made for myself! CW: 199 SW: 224 Sleeved 2/11/15

    Hi! Starting the process

Hi sassy, we have much in common. I also had to quit smoking, I'm 31, 224 before surgery and had the sleeve 2/11. I'm already down to 201. Family dinners are different. it's ok, it's healthy to mourn your old life, put everything on the table that you know will change and mourn it. Then get ready to embrace your new life. Shopping for clothes will be fun, you'll find yourself wanting to get into a bathing suit and enjoy the water with your family. It's only been 3 weeks but I know this it the best decision I've ever made for myself. Cheers to a healthy life!
  8. It's normal to go thru all those emotions. A speaker came to my program and said to mourn your old life and prepare to embrace your new life. It is a new life. A healthy, brighter and happier life. You will look forward to clothes shopping, feel comfortable in your skin, and confident. Every week goes by fast ad the weight melts away. You will be great!
  9. Thanks for posting the updates and congratulations on your success!
  10. I know of 2 people that had a baby after surgery and baby and mom did fine. The weight came back off.
  11. Lol I'm 31, I can definitely say when I turned 30, it seemed more impossible to lose weight, until now! Cheers to the good life ahead of us!
  12. Yes, but honestly the recovery wasn't near as bad as I expected. I slept for 3-4 days and I'm 16 days out and already feel about 92% keep thinking positively and every day gets better. 20 lbs down, I'm not complaining lol
  13. Right there with you. Im so over protein shakes!
  14. I'm surprised how much better I have felt the last couple days. It's been 12 days since surgery. I am able the walk and get around without pain and starting to feel back to normal (and down 14 lbs wooohooo) every single day you make so much progress. Soups are down good, I've blended them so I don't have to spit out cream of mushroom. Life is good!
  15. Vitamin water really helped me.
  16. I had the sleeve 2.11.15. I'm surprised how ok this liquid diet has been. I'm trying to focus on getting my 64 Oz in which just seems impossible. Sipping is so hard to adjust to, but I pay the price when I take in gulp. 12 lbs down in 7 days, I'm pretty excited! Ready for an exciting future. CW: 209 GW: 145
  17. Wow! I'm about at your weight/height and 40 lbs in the first month would be amazing! I'm down 12 first week. Thanks for the inspiration, these liquids and small sips make for a long day!
