  3. No magic. WLS surgery was a part of something bigger for me
  4. I use my fitness pal. Surprisingly I love my high tech scale that records my weight into the progress bar. So last year on this day I weighed 120.9 and today 121.4. That for me is the same. Check!!! Also my fitness pal connects with friends!
  5. Santa - I can explain - I thought that the force was with me Friday night when the popcorn bucket appeared on my lap. ☮️. No way I will sit on your lap to discuss
  6. Like life - we are adults. It is what we make it. A reputation is not a thing - just a concept.
  7. Progress? How is pain? Did you make it home? You have this - [emoji173]️
  8. You have been in my thoughts. Hopefully you are on the road to recovery!
  9. Transforming from fluffy to not so fluffy a lb. at a time!
  10. Thanks Imagine - a support group is for support. I remember in grad school a hot debate as to obesity being deviant behavior / condition Certainly there is a correlation between mental disorders and obesity Most folk I come across just want health We tried many things before WLS Vent away - support is supportive not full of anger - same - judgement - cruelty - bullying - abuse

  12. Keep on rocking Kathy Your attitude is marvelous!
  13. Oh my - a warm waterbed!!! I would not get out of bed. Ever. This would be ok for a bit with my Mr. [emoji5] I too have blankets in my office. Be aware of anemia and hypotension.
  14. Warm prune juice if you can tolerate the sugar Colace and Miralax are options
  15. Thought about it for 6y years. Researched for years. First appointment was 5 weeks before surgery. Self pay as well.
  16. You just had surgery. Be kind to yourself. If you still have a hard time Utube Kristen Neff or Brene Brown for a little inspiration.
  17. Be careful - maybe stay another night? I was self-pay so complications in the USA were in my top fears. Still without health things change. We each entered this WLS life for health reasons. Grab your chart and read it - I would copy it Working in healthcare I tend to not be shy. Polite and persistent. Hugs!
  18. First it is ok for some things to be private. My work place is very judge mental towards carrying extra weight and WLS surgery is for all intensive purposes unheard of. My spouse knew and my parents. If worked would have asked when I had plastics I planned to sa penis transplant. No one asked about either After a yearpost sleeve some asked if my health was OK. It somehow worked.
  19. Suggest things without preservatives For me that smell still makes me gag Also washing vegproduce a ridiculous amount to remove preservative pray. Ditto - hang in there.
  20. Call your doctor if it has not gone away. Call anyway to ensure it is in the record.
  21. All of the above. Get answers from the doctor. Also make sure of your discharge plan It makes a difference that it is the weekend. Also going to the ER vs calling the doctor. Concrete symptoms for each. Plan plan and discharge plan Get something for anxiety and pain then lie down and heal. Will you have someone at home? My thoughts are with you. Glad you are able to sedate and direct care.
  22. Agreed - I can eat so much more food. In the end it is about the habits we built regarding food and activity. My MD said before surgery that at 18 months most can eat over a cup of food and that stretching is normal y
  23. James covered it all. My breath was better after about 7 months
